Batman v Superman - What should the after credit scene be?

BoxWhatBox

Commander
Red Shirt
I would of had a cut scene with a teenage clone of Superman growing in a vat in an Argus facility, with scientist giving Amanda Palmer a status report.

Surely you meant Amanda Waller ?

Yup. This is what i get for multi-tasking.

Clark Kent wakes up in bed with Lois, talking about the nightmare he had were both he and Batman were killers who wore muted colors, his Earth Dad was a psycho who didn't want him to save kids and Lex Luthor acted like a buffoon. He'd then call STAR Labs to check that Zod & Co were still safely in their holding cells, then he'd go back to sleep, hopeful for a bright tomorrow.

Either the Joker going to his first session with Dr. Harleen Quinzel, or Diana on Themyscira watching something fall from the sky.

Amen.

But since there are infinite universes anyway, of course that's happening to Superman 55643 but not "the" Superman of Earth 616 that we live in. So...hmm.

So, Superman's been marvelized?!

On the issue, I don't think they should do after credit scenes in the DC movies. Fox did it first with "Daredevil" and the X-Men movies, and Marvel has done this to death.

Either way, all comic book universes have so many multiples it's hard to keep track. But the MoS and BvS films are "the" characters much as Star Trek always happened in one particular one no matter how many alternatives we saw.

If you want to think of the versions you knew before as existing in some way then as per DC and Marvel rules they do, just somewhere else in another place or reality.

Eh, it's hardly limited to Marvel movies. As Deadpool's scene reminded everyone, after credits scenes have been around for quite a while now, as have accompanying bloopers and similar extra material. They're fun and give audiences a reason to stick around for the credits. Nothing wrong with that; it's not like you're actually missing anything from the story by skipping out on it.

YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES had an after-credits scene that contained a major revelation about a certain character. I suspect that most moviegoers missed it since this was not really an expectation back in 1985.

I confess I left during the closing credits the first time I saw the movie, not knowing that I had missed anything until a more patient friend enlightened me.

And FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF famously included a post-credits scene where Ferris broke the fourth wall to tell the audience to go home . . ..

I say they should have saved all of those Justice League teaser files for an after credits/forget everything you thought was wrong about the movie and check this out mind f***. It would have been a stronger note to leave off with than Bruce at a funeral talking about it.
