Baseball 2026: RIP Mr Laser Beam

Adding insult to injury, Carpenter hurt himself when he hit the wall, stayed in the game but got taken out in the third inning. He's not playing today. Might have to go on IL.

My local sports radio station was talking with the Houston Astros play by play announcer this morning and I didn't know that 3/5 of the starting lineup is out due to injury.
They're nine games out of first, but only three back from the Mariners.

The American League has three teams over .500 (Yankees, Rays, Athletics), one team at .500 (Guardians) and the 2-3 Wild Card teams are both 19-21 (Rangers, White Sox).

"That's bullshit."

Yup, that sums it up.

Honestly, that umpire wasted more time arguing the point than anything else. But umpires can never be wrong or some...bullshit.

Of all the officiating in sports, the baseball umps seem to have the biggest ego and like to make the game about themselves. Second is soccer, although in some countries the fans will literally murder them if they don't like what they do.

Jose Altuve to the IL. The Astros have 14 players on IL. Jeremy Pena should be coming off it as Altuve goes on it.

Now that everyone knows what "loose bodies" are, Blake Snell is the latest to need surgery to clean them out.
I still don't know what Loose Bodies are. It's the same as my reaction to all the hamate bone injuries before the season started. I did hear that Jackson Holliday is coming back pretty soon, so that's good.

I feel bad for Ginn, but why did Kotsay leave him him after he gave up the hit? He gives up the hit let him walk off the mound feeling good about that performance. Now he feels more awful than actually giving up the no hitter.
