Good luck with your job search Llanita! Don't be too anxious if they're a little late to get back to you, though. The past several months I've been looking around for jobs for when I graduate in May. The one that I really wanted the most took longer to get back to me than they said they would, which had me really worried. I figured that if they didn't get back to me in time, it must mean they don't really like me. But they did eventually get in touch with me and with a quite decent job offer, which I plan to accept. So just remember - if they're a little late getting back to you, it's not necessarily a bad sign!

Strange, I'm also a college senior that recently finished interviewing and I found that, especially after final rounds, if they didn't get back to you before they said they would, your candidacy is toast.

Though I suppose every company is different. It also probably depends on the amount of recruiting they're doing.

Yes, I'd assume that is a fairly sizable factor. I noticed a few patterns in how a company responds following your interview with them. A certain subset of the companies will respond very quickly - to tell you they're sorry they can't consider you any further. Another subset will essentially never get back to you or take a very long time to - these companies apparently don't think you're even worth their effort to pick up the phone and inform of their decision (or in some cases, they don't want to tell you "no" now in case one of their preferred employee options falls through so they can contact you later to bring you in again).

In my experience, I had about four or five positive responses to interviews. A couple of them took a few days longer to get back to me than they'd said they would. The rest had told me things like "We'll get back to you by the end of next week" and they literally called on the last day of the following week.

Yeah. Of the three final round I went to, one said I'd know within a week, made their offers after two business days, and declines after four business days. One told us we'd know after a week, and made their offers after a week, and the last offered the job on the spot. So, sooner is definitely better in my experience.

Well I had a really good day at work which is cool. And even though I wasn't sure I would, I got my new iPod Nano (4GB black) today. :D It was supposed to get here yesterday, but I'm just glad I got it before the trip.
Either way, I knew it was small but man that thing is tiny! :D I'm filling it up with music now, hehe. :)

Be careful, I've heard of people losing those things down toilets and stuff because they're so small.

Thanks for the warning. I'm usually very good at keeping these kinds of things safe. *knocks on wood* :)

The Nanos are cool but I wish they came in the fun colors that the Minis did. I'm sad they phased the Minis out because I really like the 6 gig Mini. Of course, I already have a 6 gig Mini so I shouldn't really be complaining...

I have yet to jump on the iPod bandwagon. Came close once, but decided to go with a portable DVD player instead. :)

Started playing Silent Hill today. I'd heard a lot about the games for years, but never played one. After seeing the trailer for the SH movie, I finally decided to give it a try. If I like it I'll probably continue with the series. I do love the atmosphere of the game so far!

^ Silent Hill is a great game and so are the sequels.

I presume you have played the Resident Evil games?

Not really. I played a bit of one once, but it didn't really grab me. My roommate in college played them a lot, as well as the Parasite Eve games.

Alright, well I'll be leaving soon so I thought I'd say bye. :) Everyone play nicely in here ok? :D And don't miss me too much, hehe.
Bye! :)

Thanks man. :) I am at the airport in Graz right now, I got nothing better to do so I thought i would check on the board for a few minutes, hehe.

That's why people should have pet leprechauns. So you can send them on those type of away missions..

On a side note: Why am I not playing a Dominion War game on one of my video game consoles? I have an urge to sacrifice some angels....

I got promoted this morning so the next round is on me! :)

That's all I've got to say for now. I'm going to bed. Night
