Bar 'n' Grill - Part II

I figured a milestone post should come in my favorite thread, and in my favorite forum on the BBS, so here it is. This is post number 8000 from me, meaning I can enter the realm of the Admiral Lounge, which is kinda scary.

So, what's new. For me, I've actually decided to see Enterprise season 3 again and got the first two discs from Blockbuster online. I'm going to start with Xindi and Anomoly tonight and see where I am this weekend. Other than that, and the last two movies I've seen being Walk the Line and Ice Harvest (Which sucked), not much else is going on.

In terms of non-entertainment news, it is really stormy here today. I'm a bit worried about a friend who had a feild trip to the coast today to see Tide Pools and the biology teacher said that the trip was still on. It is windy, stormy, and miserable outside, and I hope he cut class. He wasn't going to, but if I were in that position, I would have. My health is too important for a stupid biology feild trip. I also finished a major part of my computer class this week, and am gurrenteed a B. I'm going for the A, but I'm glad I'm really almost done with the class. I had an accounting test today which was really scary, but after taking it, it didn't seem too bad. I hope I did well, but I don't want to jinx it.

Other than that, I'm enjoying life, keeping busy, and can't wait to see what the AL has in store for me. I love days when I can go into a new lounge. It makes the board feel fresh and one of the reasons why I keep coming back.

I recently started Veronica Mars on DVD. I've seen six eps so far, and I've enjoyed it. My favorite thing however, was discovering that they used a song from my favorite band, The Dandy Warhols, as the shows theme.

I LOL'd in ep 1.6 when Wallace said, "Everyone gets all excited about the Monkey House" because the name of the Warhol album that "We Used To Be Friends" originally appeared on was called Welcome To The Monkey House.

Heh, I know what you mean! I looked at my post count a couple days ago, and was surprised how little it's gone up since I came off hiatus! Of course, I haven't been the Lounge for a looong time, which was my true spamming ground when I was in the lower ranks.

So, um, yeah! It's quality that counts, not quantity! ...Right?

I finished season 2 of DS9 last night (it's my second time). What a great way to end the season!

Hey Blade Runner. What's up dude? So, you're on your second time watching DS9. How I envy you for that (where the fuck is the 'envy-smiley' if you need one). It's just so cool the first 5 or so times. I myself have probably seen it 15 times by now (yeah, I have no life).

Time to drink myself into a coma again. One bottle of Canar please.

Amen to that! :thumbsup: Wish that I, too, could be watching it for the second time. I think DS9 is best on its second or third time through....especially in the earlier seasons, you can really appreciate the glimpses of things you know are to come. After two or three times, some of the episodes definitely start to lose something, just because you've noticed everything cool there is to notice about them and they start go get old. But even after like a dozen times of viewing, it's still very enjoyable. Just not as much as it used to be.

Well I just watched Lord of War and I gotta say I loved it. It's one of the best directed and written movies I've seen in a while. But then, that's not so surprising considering it was done Andrew Niccol who also wrote and directed Gattaca. The whole cast was good, but once again Nicolas Cage proved that when he's got a good role, he can be an amazing actor.
And that opening sequence with the bullet... awesome stuff.
