Babylon 5 viewing order

I have always wanted to know why in English is it spelled Corps instead of like core???

Short answer: We stole most of our military vocabulary from the French, back when they were stereotyped as a military powerhouse. "Corps" is one of the less apparent examples, unlike rendezvous or maneuver or lieutenant.
Random Off Topic: I've been meaning to ask how "Lef'tennant" is spelled in Britain? Is there an "F" in it, or is that just a pronunciation?

As far as I know there is no F in it, just the way it is pronounced and spelled as Lieutenant (anyways I think)

I had no idea the Lurker's Guide was being updated. It does indeed look good; I look forward to seeing it completed. :)

They are still adding links to individual episodes. For example, if you go to the link for S3, you'll only see the first three episode guides listed. BUT... this is a huge undertaking for a group of volunteers!

were all the stations in babylon class station different desighn. watching episode "babylon squard".

I think the way Joe put it was that the design was relatively the same for 1 - 4, but 1, 2, 3 all got destroyed early in the construction process. Babylon 4 was the first one to be completed, and after it vanished, the Earth Alliance didn't want to put too much money in to #5, so they skimped on the design.

the way b4 looked like a monster of a station compareable to a star trek float orbital station. now onto season 2 did'nt realize at the time but they did a complete over hall on the sets and station personal. all so in the lost tales why did'nt they show cnc set. all ways liked it.

Because Lost Tales had a budget of two bits of spaghetti and a cardboard box. I think the only actual physical set they built for it was a hallway.

The Lost Tales was made for almost nothing as far as film budgets go, and filmed in Canada rather than in southern California. As a result, they only shipped and/or built the sets that they needed. They didn't need CNC and -- even if they had built it -- they obviously couldn't afford enough extras to populate it.

EDIT: To slow to get to it first. Though, didn't they also build at least part of Lochley's quarters, or was that all green screen?

is there going to be a new movie or a big screen project in the future?

and if there is a big screen movie they most likely have to recast don't you think?

As far as we know at the moment, there's not going to be a new anything when it comes to Babylon 5. JMS has made cryptic comments about something being on the horizon in the future, but that could be B5-related or something completely different.

People have been asking about new B5, and finally, earlier this year JMS said ask me after April. In the last few days he posted, saying the remarks didn't pertain to B5, but, there should be a B5 related announcement before SDCC. So, looks like something might be in the works, but, we don't know what form it will take and if he can't talk about it yet, it could still fall apart, whatever it may be. SDCC is coming up in less than 2 weeks, so, if everything works out, we get an announcement very soon of something.

if it is a new big screen movie we know who's writting it of course but who would you like to see directing and staring?

Hallway on the station, the cell, the hall in Sheridan's ship, part of Lochley's living room and bedroom. The starfury cockpit was an original from the show, shipped up from CA for the filming.

Thanks Jan. I thought there was a little more in the name of sets than what had been said, but I couldn't put my finger on it (I probably haven't watched The Lost Tales in a couple of years).

now after watching season 1 and season 2 premier. how can sinclair go from military career to one of being ambassador and then onto a ranger. I know he is valen. but still.

Ambassador was the cover story. The Minbari took him to the Rangers right away. I think this is clear with Sinclair's appearance in the first part of season two (and it was covered in more detail in the novel, "To Dream in the City of Sorrows"). Note that even the one Minbari in "Points of Departure" doesn't believe that Ambassador is all Sinclair is doing.
