I'm pretty sure that for the filming it was usually the script supervisor but I'm not sure if it was re-recorded in post or just augmented.

two disc left for season one and then on season two. all so finally watch the lost tales. I thought it pretty good. a mix b5 and crusade which was fun. I don't remmber the emporer name the one vir killed. I thought he was a great villian and there were some fantastic sceens in it with. like where they were whipping g'kar.

It evolved from the word corpse apparently.
Short answer: We stole most of our military vocabulary from the French, back when they were stereotyped as a military powerhouse. "Corps" is one of the less apparent examples, unlike rendezvous or maneuver or lieutenant.
Random Off Topic: I've been meaning to ask how "Lef'tennant" is spelled in Britain? Is there an "F" in it, or is that just a pronunciation?
It's spelled the same. There's some kind of archaic reason for how "lieu" comes out as "lef" that escapes me at the moment. Also, come to think of it, I'm pretty sure "maneuver" isn't actually french, it was just spelled that way so it'd look french to cash in on the french warmaking expertise craze I mentioned.

The explanation I always heard is that our way ("lef") was a distortion of the Norman French word and was also used by the yanks up until around the American Revolution when the French influences became more prevalent and they switched to "lieu." I'm not sure but I think for a while they were both used interchangeably but the Napoleonic Wars and American Revolution seemed to polarise the tendencies in the respective countries. No idea if there's any truth in that though.
That looks interesting. Is it the same content just copy-pasted into a more modern format or has some crazy person put in a ton of work to do the whole thing from scratch?
No, it's the same group of people. They wanted to modernize the format into a more wiki-like version. There is still work to be done, as some of the links are not yet functional. Overall, though I think it looks good and works well.
I had no idea the Lurker's Guide was being updated. It does indeed look good; I look forward to seeing it completed.
