The narrator NEVER SAYS that the next generations heavy cruiser is being built around Axanar. He says Kharn's spys LEARN that the next generation heavy cruiser is being built around Axanar. Details matter.

in fact they say it two different times.

Looks like I was/may be at least partially right.

As for the initial spoiler, yeah that's what I was thinking when Prelude came out. The wording choice and the general knowledge of events makes it seem obvious.

Of course I haven't read the script but something I read on that page convinces me that this story/script is going to be special/clever.

That the entry for April indicated that he commanded (past tense) the Enterprise on her shakedown, indicating that she's already operational.
