Arrow - The Final Season

I still haven't seen a real purpose for the 2040 storyline, and fact is, COIE could completely derail it.

I'm very interested in Oliver's adventures with Monitor. They could do so much, and as others have pointed out, that could include traveling to other Earths. That's far more interesting than listening to Dinah whine about whatever.

Maybe Oliver could use the help of the people from 2040, and connect the story.

It shows that the legacy of the Green Arrow lives on well after Oliver has gone.

COIE could completely derail it.

How? It's post-Crisis.

The ending of last season shows that the 2040 stuff takes place after the 2019 version of the Crisis.

Diggle's in green and black now, which is probably an homage to the Green Arrow, but since we now know that Diggle is a doppelganger of John Stewart, I'm hoping they're foreshadowing him getting a power ring in the series finale...

As for BC's costume, they've found a clever way of incorporating the fishnet element at last, in a way that looks somewhat practical (like vent panels for cooling or increased flexibility or something). Apparently Laurel-2 will be Black Canary now, which makes me wonder about Dinah's status.

Yay!!! I'm a big fan of Katana, and Ruka Fukushima was brilliant in that role. I do hope, though, that this time around, they'll properly portray the Soultaker.

I've been hoping for this. For being the final season and she was so integral to the show in the early seasons, having her not return would feel slightly disappointing. Glad we get to see Speedy again.

I can't help but think EBR will also make a surprise appearance. Yeah the big story was her leaving at the end of last season, but I'm holding out hope for at least a cameo, maybe showing up in the finale.
