Arrow - Season 2

Bringing Ollie made Laurel confront what the real issues were and brought them into the open, both for Laurel and Ollie. They both snapped and had it out. Ultimately Laurel ends up in an AA meeting, and Ollie is over Laurel.

Seems like it couldn't have worked out better if Sara had planned it all, which she may have.

One thing that has been bothering me: the Arrow Cave is still in Verdant's basement, right? This means that Thea must be the most oblivious person on Earth. You've got Oliver, Diggle, Felicity, and Sara all coming and going from there. How does she not know something is up?

Holy secret doors Batman :)

Separate entrance?

Maybe Thea thinks the Arrow cave is a man cave?

I hope we see that Det. Lance has actually figured out who Ollie is already, and is just going along with the charade to make Ollie think he has identity secure. I mean, he knows Sara is Black Canary, right?

And I second the request for a Blue Devil Screen cap!

And the ending--whoa!

Totally missed the Blue Devil movie poster on the bus. Can anyone throw up a screencap of it?

Fittingly, I've just watched the episode of Young Justice where Blue Devil cameos, so I know exactly who that guy is. :)

Slade's appearance isn't random. I'm sure he's planned to do this at exactly this point. The question is why...

And I think they've mentioned that the Arrow lair has more than one entrance. It would seem silly that they could only get in or out through the door in the club. How'd they sneak around during the day? In costume? And where do they keep the Arrowcycles anyway? Not in the Verdant parking lot...

If they kill any of the Lances it should be Laurel. Sarah is a much stronger character.

I love everything they've done with Slade - the actor is perfect, too.

If Slade really wants to kill for psychological impact like he said a few ep's ago, Laurel is still the prime target. He must surely blame Sara as much as Ollie for Shado's death. Killing Laurel would hurt them both, take them both off centre.

After rewatching the episode to get the screenshot, I am really liking Sara even more. Lots of little things, I especially like how she said the right things to Felicity at several points, in order to ground her and build her esteem. Felicity leaves the episode no longer jealous of Sara, and in fact with a strong bond. Sara's character is built completely positively; she does not alienate, she form connections.

If Sara can't stay with the show, I would much rather see her in a spinoff than dead or away on some mission. She and Huntress could form 2/3 of a new Birds of Prey.

Thanks for the screengrab! How horrible for Ollie if it turns out Sara is undercover working for Slade and goes full Ravager on us. Now lets get that Dan Cassidy/Blue Devil appearance scheduled.

Well, it seems Blue Devil is a fictional character in Arrowverse. Unless that movie is biographical.

Originally, the Blue Devil was a fictional character in the DCU, when the costume was fused with stuntman Dan Cassidy magically. It was later in the character's existence that he became an actual demon.

I actually bought the first comic...he was in the middle of making the movie when he got hit with the mystical energy that caused the fusion. Perhaps in this universe it was Blue Devil 2 that caused it...or the ad came out during filming.

i don't think he would blame Sara, as she was in the same position as Shado. But i agree that killing Laurel would hurt Sara as well. It's kind of too bad that this homecoming was so public -- it would have been nice & easy to have Sara take over Laurel's identity. As Laurel, she would be low key (not doing anything to get into photos, no facebook, etc.).

But Tommy never died in the comics, right? So maybe we can have Sara be Black Canary, and Laurel be a driver for Sara the way Tommy is for Ollie.

Yeah it's getting ridiculous... and does he know who Black Canary is? it's been so long I can't remember. If he doesn't, he takes the price for being the most oblivious person ever with his own daughter standing right in front of him disguised by nothing than a flimsy mask.

He does know. Right away the first time he saw Canary he said something like "So you're the one who's been beating up everyone." I forget the exact episode/dialogue, but he knew that pretty quick after she first appeared. Then he saw her with Ollie a couple of times, and the three had the big battle with R'as' goons in Chloe's old watchtower. She was in full Canary for that fight, and she said goodbye to him, etc.
