I just realized that Laurel was nowhere to be found last episode and I didn't miss her one bit. Anyone else?

I noticed she wasn't there, and didn't care. Laurel is dead weight on the show, right now. I think we're all just waiting for Sarah to come back, get killed, and Laurel to take up the Canary mantle.

I'm really hoping the writers will decide to kill off Laurel and make Sarah a regular.

There's a bit of a similar vibe between Laurel/Ollie and Clark/Lana in that it's the on-again/off-again romance that a lot of viewers don't really care about at all.

Meanwhile the smart blonde female sidekick of the main character has romantic interest in another superhero who shows up as a guest on the show. Chloe for Ollie(Green Arrow) in Smallville and now Felicity for Barry(the soon to be Flash) in Green Arrow.

Thankfully the characters in Arrow are all in their 20s (well other than Thea) so the Laurel/Ollie relationship doesn't have the over the top melodrama teen romance and them getting together doesn't seem to be in the books for Arrow in the near future. So it's about 1000 times more tolerable than Clark/Lana.

My mind went straight to Chloe/Lana slash... Who the hell would pair off Clark and Lana?

They were obsessed with Kreuk ... In a creepy uncle kind of way.

I can think of no situation where I wanted to see Lana with anyone. Now Lois and Tess is another story.
The more I consider it the more Ted Kord needs to be on this show even as weapons supplier for Ollie at first and then donning some blue leather as the Beetle.

Ted Builds the weapons... Ollie comes to get the weapons... Ted's says No, I think I'll keep'em for myself.

Of course an Arrow Plane looks nothing like the Bug

I stopped reading comics for a long time and the last Blue Beetle I read was the Ted Kord version, so that's the version I'd like to see.

I've nothing against Ted or his fans, but I much prefer Jaime's Beetle.

I prefer Ted over Jaime, but they have invested way to much in Jaime to bring back Ted at this point. Alas.

Jamies story seemed to be "mostly" unaffected.

It would be way outside Arrows comfort range to introduce an alien armor. A guy with a flying beetle ship on the other hand would fit right in.
