Arrow - Season 2

Wonderful season ender. I'm glad they're done with this whole arc. I was getting tired of hearing Slade plotting his revenge. "Olivuh! Queen! must! die!" I wouldn't mind if Ollie had killed him, but it was more poetic to keep him alive.

"You don't have the guts to kill me."

"I have the courage to let you live."

Truly, the team couldn't have succeeded without Nyssa showing up with her own army of assassins. The cure was certainly the key to defeating Slade and his minions. Diggle and wife were able to prevent Waller from blowing up Starling City.

The whole charade with Felicity had me completely fooled. I thought Ollie really had feelings for her; she even stated she was convinced. But it's a pity she was used as part of the plan.

Poor Roy. He finally woke up and was freed from the influence of the mirakuru, but Thea left him, to be with her real father.

I liked the Flash teaser and look forward to it in the fall.

The season finale was ok, although not as good as the season 1 finale. I'm definitely interested in seeing the past segments leave the island and go to Hong Kong. I iked Nyssa showing up, and I think Merlyn was used well. Iwasn't a huge fan of Detective Lance keeling over, but its not a big deal. I wasn't as big a fan of season 2 as I was of season 1, but I think the set up to Season 3 looks interesting.

My only problem was the pacing in parts. "We have to hurry before Waller blows up the city", "Oh wait, I hve to go home first", "Yeah, I have to go do something too", ""BRB, guys".

Felt like a season finale mixed with a season premiere. It had a few cliffhangers but set up stuff for the next season and wasn't totally leaving us hanging. Last season left us wondering what was going to happen in the premiere and this was like what is going to happen in EP 2 of S3. LOL.

It was completely out of left field for me at first, until I guessed it was their ruse to trick Slade. I think Ollie genuinely loves Felicity, but in a sisterly way (not a Game of Thrones sisterly way, though ;)). That being said, now that Sara's off doing her funloving assassin stuff, I wouldn't mind seeing something more develop between Ollie and Felicity.

Some great fight choreography and editing in this episode. The tunnel fight especially was superb. It was great seeing the League of Assassins, Roy, Sara, Merlyn, Deadshot, Lyla, Waller and everyone else back. It really felt epic.

I don't like the drama with Detective Lance's internal bleeding and collapse, especially as his arc was just coming back around again with him being reinstated as a detective and taking on a leadership role at the SPD. I hope they don't kill him off. Even though Sara is a vastly better character than Laurel, it was nice to see the hand-off of the jacket and a hint at her possibly becoming the new Canary as the show goes on.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the flashbacks progress to Ollie working with Waller. I was wondering how he acquired all these skills and languages.

It wasn't quite as jaw dropping as the S1 finale (which was hard to top) but this was a worthy followup.

As a non-viewer tuning in out of curiosity they might want to invest in a couple of guns to go with those bows, sure looked like they could come in handy.

Every version of Amanda Waller I see gets skinnier and skinnier. Us stocky people are losing our role models. ;)

These are the early years! LOL.

Wanda Sykes as Waller would have been epic! :adore:

Darth Speedy has me worried. I love Willa Holland but they don't know what to do with Thea and I am still worried after the finale.

Well, "now" she can have superpowers, so we don't have to be amazed by how quickly the party girl transforms into a ninja.

A marriage to Prince Baron of Markovia, will lead to Geo-Force powers if she plays her cards right.

Thea is a mess as a character. As disjointed and impulsive as her behavior is, going all dark side with Merlyn was completely out of character, other than her character's sole reason for existing is to be a drama llama.

"Oh Roy would never lie to you? Dude, Roy is totally lying to you, and I am the only one honest with you enough to tell you how much Roy is lying to you."

Princess in a bubble didn't know that every one lies?

Princess idjit.

Felt the first half of it was rather slow, but once the fight started - there was some improvement. Nice to see this arc has finished.

...I'm not sure how Slade is going to eat.
Those were my first thoughts. Maybe someone drops by every now and then and leaves a crate of power bars and bottled water in their cell like Dexter did one time.

I wouldn't mind if Ollie had killed him, but it was more poetic to keep him alive.
Killing the bad guy doesn't provide for good drama. You have to keep them alive to reflect on their failure or what they've done. And in this case, we get to see Slade again. I thought he'd be done after this season.

The whole charade with Felicity had me completely fooled.
I was totally fooled too. It reminded me of the British show Hustle. If you haven't seen it, then think Ocean's Eleven. For me it didn't come out of nowhere, it seemed like the genuine culmination of 2 seasons worth of build-up.

Wanda Sykes as Waller would have been epic! :adore:
Indeed it would. :bolian:

I have a feeling that with Malcolms hidden backing, Thea will be running Queen consolidated next year.
As mentioned, she'll go to Nanda Parbat and come back a ninja. And yeah, maybe she'll be next season's Summer Glau. They can finally do something with the character.

Well handled season ender. The editing in the Ollie/Slade fight was exceptional and covered the fact the fight itself was average. Great that Thea left all the people that lied to her. Could have done without Det. Lance dropping at the end, no real need for it. Slade captured on the island and Ollie is creating his own prison but will Waller let him stay there if she needs him? Glad we have left the island and can get on woth more of Ollies training. Opens it up for many more guest appearances if Ollie travels the globe. And loved the Flash teaser.

It's not actully Ollie creating purely his own prison. On the door as he closed it was written A.R.G.U.S so he's getting some help.

Could be an interesting fight for control of Queen Consolidated. Oliver has the major of shares (though financially they aren't worth squat financially), Moira's dead, Thea's gone walk about) and Slade's little chickie is dead.

I liked that towards the end of the Oliver/Slade fight it was evident that both were somewhat gassed and pretty futzed up.
