And can somebody tell their set dresser that actual comic shops file their comic books in alphabetical order?
All the shops I bought at, including the ones I worked for, used alphabetical order for back issues. For new releases some segregated by publisher (usually DC, Marvel, other)And can somebody tell their set dresser that actual comic shops file their comic books in alphabetical order?
My local comic book shop doesn't do it that way. They're all grouped together according to publisher, and after that there's no real order. For example, back when IDW had the Doctor Who license their Star Trek and Doctor Who comics were always next to each other.
In another thread it was brought up that CBS might use TBBT to promote the new Star Trek series prior to it premiere.
Maybe not just in the commercial breaks, but have the characters talk it up on the show. I remember Sheldon mentioning the first Abrams movie. Also the new series could show either immediately before or after TBBT, use it as a lead in.

To clarify, I was talking about the back issue bins that you see in the center of the comic shop set, where the comics they flip through are obviously in a random order. The only place I see that is in the discount bins, where it's not worth the store's while to keep them properly sorted.
Yeah, some comic stores sort their new comic shelves by publisher, but that's not what I was talking about.

Can't say I've ever seen the appeal to this show. The typical episode can be summarised thusly:
"We're nerds." (Ha Ha Ha)
"The blonde girl doesn't know what we're talking about." (Ah Ha Ha)
[Obscure sci-fi/comic reference] (Oh Ho Ho Ah Ha Ha)
And this is one of television's biggest shows?
I don't care for the show. Basically, it's a show written about somebody's idea of geeks rather than by actual geeks, so most of the humor is at the geeks' expense, using the same old tired stereotypes.
Oh hahaha, look at how goofy they all dress (None of them ever improves their fashion sense, even after they get into steady relationships? Really?). Oh, hahaha, look at how inept they are when talking to women! Oh hahaha, look at how all they talk about is their geek interests, even when the other person has no knowledge of or interest in, that topic! Why, aren't they just adorable? It's almost like they're people!
So yeah, not for me.
