Anyone planning a BBS meet-up to see the film?

Yes, I'm aware there is an actual forum for meet-ups, but I just thought I'd bring it up here, since the movie would be the main event. Plus, I don't think many people regularly frequent that forum, so if there are others, like myself, who would be up for a group outing, perhaps we could get the ball rolling in this thread and work out the details in the other forum.

So, is anyone planning a BBS gathering, most likely for a midnight showing (or a regular opening night show)? I think it might be kind of fun. I know that I would be down with a Toronto area get-together -- there's already a thread started in the Meet-Ups forum if anyone else from the G.T.A. is interested.

If anyone else wants to use this thread to take the initiative and organize a meet-up in their area, feel free!

Mods: if starting such a thread in this forum is frowned upon for whatever reason, I understand, and if etiquette requires you to close the thread, go right ahead. I'm not trying to start any trouble, honest () -- I'm just trying to bring trek fans together.

A couple friends and I will be going to a later showing in Cheyenne, WY. I think I am the Cheyenne TBBS representative, but if anyone else is there or in the area, I am sure they would be welcome to join!

The film opens here on the Thursday, and several of us in Sydney will see it then, in our various suburbs, but a group of TrekBBSers are seeing it together on the Friday night in the CBD.

The theaters in the Capital District Area of NY (Albany/Schenectady/Troy) are just about all, having 7pm & 10pm showings on Thursday May 7th.

I'm planning on getting to at least one of those at the BOW TIE Theater in Schenectady if anybody is interested.

Hmm, doesn't appear many people are interested in the idea, not in my area, anyway. Too bad. I guess I'll have to go to the midnight showing by myself... as usual.


However, I might be able to convince my dad to attend a matinee with me on the actual opening day.

I don't know... can I hold out a few hours longer? I'm not sure I have the willpower. Well, I guess we'll find out.
