Anyone here think the moon landings were faked?

There's even a wacky theory that the bloody driver of the limo JFK was in turned around and shot him!!!
I'm not kidding.

I met a guy who insisted that was the "real story." Or part of it.

Somehow he started talking to me about the Kennedy Assassination while I was at the library one day. Didn't know the guy--just opened up to me. Said he had a bunch of rare documents back at his place, and invited me over to see them.

I politely declined.

There's no way that Oswald could get off three shots with the type of weapon he had in the time alloted

This has been debunked, it's possible for even a mildly skilled gunman to do this.

and there is no way that one bullet could create all those wounds.

It's called a ricochete.

Amen. There's actually a guy who lives in my general area who made the same kind of shots at the same speed from three times the distance without a scope.

And popsicles. Plenty of popsicles in his basement along with those documents... go ahead and check...

I wasn't up to no good. I really had those documents! I don't know why you turned me down...

That dude's head serving as a lampshade in your apartment says otherwise. ;)

Put the whiskey down.

Honestly, with the amount of studies related to the Kennedy assassination and really crappy evidence that is easily debunked that suggests otherwise (such as the audiotape with the car backfire people thought was gunfire), I think it's easier to be a 9/11 truther.

Even witness testimony is useless at this point. Provided that they were actually there.......

I'm going to stop you right there because you have no idea what you're talking about. There was plenty of people who were there that said they heard shots coming from somewhere besides the book depository. If eye witness testimony was useless then it wouldn't be used as evidence in trials.

Witness reports have the ability to be skewed and changed by any number of things after the face. Also, as I said above, acoustics can do odd things on where a sound comes from.

Then he should show the FBI how its done, because not a single one of their sharpshooters could match Oswald's performance. I have yet to see a person duplicate what Oswald did. Most people that claim to be able to do it are firing at targets standing still in the wide open.Penn Jillette tried to say that the shots could be fired in the allotted time by standing still and firing the weapon without loading bullets or recreating the event. I was in the marines and was a rifle expert and I would have a hard time doing it with my modern M16A2 service riflle. Oswald was using a weapon that is HORRIBLE for what he was trying to do. He had to recycle the weapon after every shot, which makes it horrible for sniping as doing so throws you off your target. Oswald could have shot Kennedy when he was coming towards his direction before the turn on elm, which would have made it an easy frontal shot. Instead he waits until the president turns on on elm and now he has to shoot thru trees? And he has to hit a target that is moving away from him.

And serioulsy guys, a RICOCHETE bullet created seven wounds? You've been watching too much T.V. A single bullet can't created that many wounds and certainly doesn't ricochete that many times.

Hey look - a ballistics expert is in the house!
By all means post your credentials and then tell us poor rubes exactly how bullets work.

Have a source buddy?

A target moving away is easy to hit in this case. Leading the target becomes a lot easier and you don't have to worry about the windshield in the way.

The most difficult parts are the speed and accuracy, which are clearly shown here:

Dammit! I forgot that ammo magazine clips weren't invented for rifles until 1964! SHIT!

To be specific: the Carcano uses an en bloc clip holding six rounds that is inserted in one movement. ie, reloading all your rounds takes maybe two seconds.

Looks like Sciffy is tackling this topic tonight-- the Moon landings, not Kennedy-- on their show Fact or Faked.

I was also in the army (Canada's) and we used a rifle that was basically an M-16 and I can say that it would be very very easy to fire 3,4,5 or more shots in a few seconds even without going full auto.
Sure Kennedy was quite far away, so whether you could hit would be in doubt...but there's no way you couldn't get off many shots in a few seconds.
