Anyone else annoyed that there are no TOS Klingons in SNW yet?

People watch the franchise about loveable characters fixing problems in a bright optimistic future because they want be miserable?
Not about watching the show. They're probably happy from opening scene to credits.

About commenting afterwards there is rarely happiness.*

*As with all generalizations this only mildly accurate ;)

I've said this before, but I honestly think the best thing that Strange New Worlds could do to settle this debate is have a single episode where it looks exactly like The Original Series. They could film it in Ticonderoga to get the look of the original sets. Put everyone in TOS uniforms with matching 60's style haircuts. Use all the musical cues from TOS. Hell, they could even film an actual model for the exterior shots. Do ALL this, but do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to draw attention to it. Just film the episode like they normally would and have everything back to normal by the next episode.

Disco literally used the actual Star Trek sets with the original Star Trek actors. And the "debate" goes one.

If they ever decide to portray original TOS era Klingons like Kang , Kor or Koloth, SNW showrunners will have a decision to make. Otherwise I guess they will continue to skirt around this and keep showing ridged Klingons.

Just necroreplying on this. But why would Bashir not have done a deep dive by this point? I mean, he's got Starfleet's only Klingon living on the station, and possibly Martok as well by this point.
During Trials and Tribble-Ations? No, Martok wasn't there yet. The Changeling impersonating Martok was exposed and killed a few episodes earlier, while the real Martok was still bring held at the Dominion prison camp.

Indeed, it's possible the real Bashir was himself at the Dominion prison and it was indeed Changeling Bashir we had in Tribble-Ations. We don't know when exactly Bashir was captured and replaced with a Changeling, just that it was some point before Starfleet switched to the FC uniforms.

I would like to see all 3 types in this show. DSC, "regular", and TOS all in the same show. Clearly there are different variations lf Klingons just like with human races, those from house Mo'kai in DSC, those from TOS and other such as Worf, Gorkon, Martok to name a few.

I can wait. Star Trek Enterprise keft room for the giman variation as well as the ridged. I have no problem not seeing the ridgeless version. The STD version Ill be happy to never see again.

Notably Bashir seems to think Miles went to the academy, a possible changeling error. The bit about trying to date his ancestor also comes across as a changeling trying too hard at a bashir impersonation and being cartoonish

To anser the OP: I wouldn't necessarily want the brownface-style design of TOS Klingons, but I do think having more of their conniving, less honor-obsessed characterization would help

It seems from the trailer of the 3rd season that was released a few days ago, we will be seeing some Klingons.

Just not the TOS type.
