The throw-away line by Worf in "Trials and Tribble-ations" was meant to be a wink-wink joke to the audience. The correct response to the writer who proposed the Augment Virus was "You're fired!", instead of "Let's beat this nonsensical idea to death over several episodes and series!!!!"Nope. There was never any need to explain modern Klingons and they're better off just using them. The new teaser suggests that's the way they're going.
Well, they can't all be winners. And now any variation can be an Augment virus mutation or attempt to correct it.The throw-away line by Worf in "Trials and Tribble-ations" was meant to be a wink-wink joke to the audience. Eh, SNW exists now. And they should have no problem showing DIS, TOS, TMP and TNG Klingons on screen all at once. Seems like the perfect opportunity to show IDIC does not just apply to the Federation.I think Enterprise's choice to follow up on Trials and Tribble-ations would've felt better justified to people if they'd had a season 5 and were able to feature the TOS Klingons more prominently. The cancellation meant that didn't have the opportunity to do anything with them after setting them up.
My favorites, actually— they felt a bit more alien and less Flash Gordon than all the other types. (No shade on Flash Gordon intended; I grew up with it.)The TMP ones are definitely the creepiest and scariest, so Wolfman is kind of appropriate.
When I was a kid, I would always hide under the blankets during the Klingon sequence in TMP. They scared the shit outta me.The TMP ones are definitely the creepiest and scariest, so Wolfman is kind of appropriate.
I feel ya. I didn't hide under any blankets, but I refer to them as "vampire warriors" for a reason. When I was a kid, I would always hide under the blankets during the Klingon sequence in TMP. They scared the shit outta me.
Don't need to see it, but I'd appreciate it if they didn't rule out the possibility of a refit. I haven't lost hope that they're going to pull an Enterprise and get the ship heading towards the other shows at the end.
Considering the Picard and Lower Decks series - they already haven't 'stayed away' from Berman era Trek. It's all the one Trek thread, from 1965 (ie TOS pilot The Cage) to now (2025).It would have been a nice nod to see a smoothy heads. But still. At this point maybe they should just stay away from 1966-2005 Trek. Disco did a nice season 5 follow up to TNG's The Chase. But we don't need to keep seeing it . Im starting to think they should just keep doing their own thing and now worry about anything from 1966-2005. They have pretty much changed everything at this point I'm hoping they end up doing an entire 5 year mission with Kirk and just retell every episode they can from TOS with major changes to each story and call it a day. That seems to me what Millennials and younger want at this point...![]()
