Any "poor" superheroes

I'm just curious to know if there are any heroes similar to Batman, but lack his level of wealth that makes crimefighting more of a challenge for them.

Doesn't Spider-Man fit this category? I haven't read a contemporary story in years but that used to be the case.

How about Luke Cage - Powerman?? And how about Cloak and Dagger? Dagger at least was a homeless runaway, if memory serves.

^I think Supes returned bank robbers a sack with a dollar sign on it lighter that when he found them

Virgil Hawkins, aka Static...teenager, lives at home. John Stewart, Green Lantern-at least in the JLU tv series, was shown living in a modest apartment, in a downtown area, far from the secluded trappings of a stately Wayne Manor.

And technically, all the X-Men save Warren Worthington...

Similar to Batman in the way that they are not super-human but instead rely on advanced technology to give them the edge?

Lots of superheroes wouldn't be mega rich, if they bother with secret identities quite a few go for "average Joe/Jane".

Blankman has no powers and no money. And when bad guys are surprised that he's wearing a bullet proof costume, they actually think to shoot him in his exposed head.

I'm thinking more like middle class, powerless people that try to fight crime.

If I remember correctly, Ollie Queen lost his fortune for quite some time. Therefore, does Green Arrow qualifie?

How does he afford all of his gadget arrows? Does he just fight crime when he isn't working at Walmart? He needs to have money just to survive unless he steals from the crooks he beats the hell out of.

Professor Xavier is quite rich, evidently from an inheritance. His seemingly unlimited coffers apparently provide for his students' livelihood as well as their crimefighting tech. (And if his funds ever got depleted, he could probably replenish them by patenting and selling some of the tech he got from the Shi'ar...)
