September’s theme chosen by community vote here, is:

Product Spacement
Sometimes Trek media goes out of its way to put real-world products front and center. Your entry must feature a product or brand, real or mentioned in Trek. So give a real soda brand a futuristic flavor makeover, or name a Trek character the new spokesperson/model for a popular fashion label. Include a catchy slogan, or re-brand it for the future customers.

So which popular brands you think would make it into the future? Did you ever buy a product and think that it would be perfect for you favourite Star Trek character? Here's your chance to show us the too combined. Or possibly expand on an in-universe brand mentioned in the shows. How would you incorporate it into the Trek universe?

• the artwork you submit should be created during the month of the challenge
• only one final image can be submitted (although it may contain multiple views)
• your final entry should be posted in this thread (although dedicated WIP threads are appreciated)

The winner gets to wear the golden “Fan Art Challenge Winner” badge on their profile for the following month. And , if you have an idea for a Challenge Theme you can post it in October's suggestion thread (here).

i have been plugging away at something that i may have overthought a tad. could do with a couple of more days...

It appears that Imgur is having some troubles at the moment (I can't see any linked images and the main website is down). I'll wait to see what happens with that before I set a new deadline.

Oh great, I'd read some supposition on-line but now it's official, Imgur is no-longer available in the UK (see here). Well that's going to complicate things...

That link doesn't go into the why, but it looks like it's because of the Online Safety Act?

Yeah, the general consensus is that it's easier for Imgur to block the country as a whole than it is to comply with the Act.

combining my for some reason continuing obsession with former esurance mascot Erin, and my love of star trek, and of course referencing Esurance's own tie-in campaign with the reease of Star Trek in 2009.

i had such ideas for this, and i should have just drawn them,like a sane person-who-knows-how-to-draw. probably should have stuck to my initial idea of making glock or beretta phasers (beretta's been making guns for half a millennium, why not a few centuries more)....
