Anyone seen a preorder for it ? What's the price like ?
Pre-order links will probably show up in August or September, depending on when street date actually is.Supposedly not coming until the holidays. Probably not out there yet for preorder.
The DVD's look better than the old VHS tapes.
Honestly I'm not sure that the blu-ray quality will make much difference; it's a cartoon lacking any of the subtle shading and intricate details that Blu-ray is great for. In any case, I am always for getting Trek material in the best possible quality. I will be interested to see how it compares.
Will the Blu-Ray look better than VHS being a low res animation?
I don't know? On my 50 meg connection, it definitely looks closer to DVD than Blu-ray.
Really can't see the point. Uprezzed DVD on animated stuff is good, especially when it's something as basic and lacking in detail as TAS.
I've got it on DVD, I've got the other Blurays, no doubt I'll get this, but not until it's around £10 or so...
Then animate the soundtrack to the unreleased video game The Secret of Vulcan Fury!
Half the work is already done and in the can. It would be a HUGE selling point.
Do it CBS! DO IT NOW!

This is exactly what I was wondering.wonder if they will "fix" more stuff like the misbegotten color "correction" of the Delta Triangle backgrounds on the DVD?
Same for me. My son will get my DVDs.Day one purchase for me. Then I'll hand off my DVD's to my daughter.
This is exactly what I was wondering.
Secret of Vulcan Fury as well as Judgement Rites and 25th Anniversary Edition would all be perfect for new Animated episodes. I think they would have enough episodes to makeI've been saying this for years, and this is the last chance for it to happen -
