Winchester was solid but I always liked Frank Burns better IMO. He was just more funny to me.

He had become a one trick pony though. There was more to explore with a character like Winchester.

Criminal Minds is going into season 19, but they did a soft reset by moving it to streaming. So now it's serialized instead of episodic and lots of swearing. But it's still got a lot of the same long-time characters who are long in the tooth.

Criminal Minds has always been able to handle cast changes fairly well, especially after the Mandy Patinkin sudden departure.

Joe Mantegna is almost 80 and he is still carrying a lot of the series. Paget Brewster is almost 60, but the rest of the cast is young enough that it wouldn't need a massive change to keep going.

So Lincoln Lawyer gets 5 seasons but Mindhunter only gets two seasons. Life can be so unfair.

When I was 12 the Robert Hays spinoff series of Starman was, in my opinion, one of the best science fiction series on the air in 1986 and 1987 and deserved a second season. It didn't get it. That rubbed me the wrong way for a while. But it is what it is.

L&O was a great show that just ran too long imho. Everything pre 2010 was the best

Again to each their own. Most of the stories have been pretty tame since Season 10.

I loved it too.

Trying to rewatch it last year changed my mind a fair bit.

I'm sure rewatching all 22 episodes now would probably reveal a lot of annoying and obvious cracks and flaws in the show that pubescent me would have ignored or just not seen.
