My wife and I watched the first couple episodes of NeXt, but I didn't find any of the characters particularly engaging and I totally disliked John Slattery's lead character. Interesting concept, but wasn't well executed.

I agree. The story had potential, but I wasn't really liking any of the characters. I feel like a different cast could have made a difference.

HBO cancels The Outsider, a miniseries they didn't bill as a miniseries in case it took off like gangbusters and they wanted to make more. Scripts for season two were even being worked on. Now the production company is shopping it around.
