Spoilers All Things STAR WARS - News, Speculation & Spoilers Thread

Anybody care to provide a bit more context on the Cushing thing, I don't really feel like going through the hassle of setting up an account just to read one story.

And to go back to Disney+ pulling back a bit on their Star Wars content, I'm not at all surprised and relieved. I really think they were going a bit overboard with the constant stream of new Star Wars and Marvel content, sure some hard-core fans my love having a constant stream of that kind of stuff, but I really think they overestimated how much content is really sustainable over time. It was getting to a point where it was getting to be a challenge to keep up, especially if you wanted to watch other stuff.

Basically Lucasfilm assumed they still had the rights based upon the first film, and argued for that. The estate is arguing that Lucasfilm received "unjust enrichment" through use of Cushing's likeness outside of the original contract stipulations.

It's been through two courts in England and is moving on to trial. Basically, Lucasfilm assumed they were good to go and didn't check and now have to deal with the consequences.

You'd think somebody would have thought to check that kind of stuff before they used his likeness in Rogue Ones.
Could this also open up to include his appearances outside of the movie in things like the animated series, comics, book covers, action figures, ect. or is that all separate from movies in a case like this?

Donald Glover says him and his brother are still chipping away at a Lando project

Has anyone else been watching the LEGO miniseries Rebuild the Galaxy? I'm up to episode 3 of 4 and it's been a lot of fun so far.

Tales of the Jedi, as a whole, resists a singular timeline placement marker ( as does Tales of the Empire which isn't even on here ). Chapters 1-3 take place before the PT; chapter 4 takes place during the timeframe of Episode 1; chapter 5 takes place during the Clone Wars and also during the timeframe of Episode 3; chapter 6 begins at Padme's funeral and ends sometime during the Dark Times.
( Also, though clearly any further timeline nitpicking wouldn't fit on that graphic, the ending of TCW's finale is after ROTS and the ending of Rebels' finale is after ROTJ. )

Tales of the Jedi is out of order. Tales of the Empire is missing. Last 4 eps of CW need to be interspersed with ROTS.

I just hope noobs don't get the idea that "The Empire Strikes Back" is a video game and "A New Hope" is animated.
