Spoilers AHSOKA series [Spoiler Discussion]

True, but the Stormtroopers remind me of that one novel. The idea of almost unstoppable dead inside Imperial armor is kinda cool.

Well, that was awesome. I can't wait for season 2. I was actually really hoping that Baylan's character arc would be neatly wrapped up this season so that recasting wouldn't become a necessity, but alas...

So now we know what Ahsoka was doing during the original trilogy. Training Sabine on Lothal. Now I really have to wonder when she and Luke met for the first time.

Morai's appearance confirms that this is where Ahsoka and Sabine need to be and the appearance of Force ghost Anakin perhaps represents the dangers ahead of her. I hope that Ahsoka and Anakin can interact further down the road.

So, we probably have a 2-year wait until season 2?

So.. guess have to recast Ray Stevenson (RIP)
I nominate Dominic Purcell..

Purcell is already taking over for Stevenson in a movie. Doing it twice in a row might be weird for him.

How about Adam "Edge" Copeland? He won't be as talented as Stevenson, but he's actually a better actor than most pro wrestlers turned actors.

That turncoat? :)
He could work but he said he's doing a full time run in AEW for the foreseeable future. It all depends whether this show is getting a season 2 and when they start filming if so.

"How old are you?"
"Old enough to know that the relationship between a master and apprentice is as challenging as it is meaningful."

So much to process.

Ezra is finally home, but at a terrible price. Not only has Thrawn (unsurprisingly) returned to our galaxy and with an undead army, but Ahsoka, Sabine, and Huyang are stranded in another galaxy (far, far away...).

I figured early on that someone would be left behind but I initially thought it would only be Huyang...but then it quickly became clear that, of course, Ahsoka would be, too. And while it was intended to be a surprise that Sabine would chose to stay behind to help her master, anyone who has been paying attention to the themes of the episode and the series as whole (and actually listen to Huyang for once) would know this was precisely the path Sabine would take.

And considering the implications of the final scenes on Peridea, perhaps they aren't stranded at all. Not only do we see great Tolkien-esque mountain statues of the Mortis Father, Son, and a partially-destroyed Daughter (I wonder what that could mean!), but Morai has finally appeared in this series to signal that Ahsoka is traveling the right path. I'm full of curiosity about what they'll find on Peridea...and whether Ezra found the same (or why he didn't).

But now we have to face the elephant in the room: As much as I feared since the beginning, Baylan's story is far from over. While I refuse to speculate at how the show will choose to deal with Ray Stevenson's passing at this time, I am very curious to know what has drawn him to Peridea, to those mountain statues...and what he glimpsed in the distance. However that story might be told, I look forward to its implications, if it is told at all in the second season.

On a lighter note, I loved Ezra's reunion, both with how Chopper recognized him right away and with kindness, and the tearful moment of Hera knowing what it means for Ezra to be back...and alone. That said, I'm quite bummed out that Zeb never appeared in this season and that the extensive work of creating his live-action presence was indeed, for the time being, entirely for a cameo. That's probably the biggest surprise of this whole season.

Overall, I've loved every moment of this season. I may have quibbles here and there but I think show has been a great success and I cannot wait to rewatch the first season. It's going to be a lonnnng wait for the second season.

Wait the daughter is there, she's just missing her head

Wild speculation:
They already shot (part of) S2 because I don't believe for a minute Filoni doesn't know what happens in S2.

There was a lot of discussion of the Mortis so I'm not surprised but I am wowed at it showing up.

The Abeloth speculation will be continuing..
In the books she was the Mother in the Mortis relm .. And the destroyed statue could be her instead of the daughter.
Had a daughter and got left behind by the other 3.

if it’s getting a season 2, the story could be continued in his movie.

I wouldn't mind Iain Glain to assume the role of Baylan... Similar age and he was doing sword stuff on Game of Thrones as Jorah Mormont.

I get that he's on some type of mission having force sensed/vision something on this planet he needs to get to.

I don't really get the Shin Hati stuff. So she travels to another galaxy to leave her master and then become leader of a group of rando bandits?

My money is that Shin Hottie eventually turns to the light side and Huyang helps her build a bitchin' new Jedi lightsaber.

Liev Schreiber is also being floated as a possible replacement for Ray.

Glad the actress playing Morgan finally got the chance to show her stuff. She's been touted all along as a superlative martial artist- she really showed it here.

So was going to wait till the day after to do this,but..
So a List of who could replace Ray Stevenson (RIP) since it seems Baylans story will be continuing, and to be honest.. DON"T Luke/Leia digital resurrect him.. PLEASE.
So, actors who are in there 50s, maybe early 60's, same build ( bit Stocky) and can carry his grandeur. So, some but no particular order:
(first ones are my first choices)
Liev Schreiber.. (that would be awesome)
Brendan Fraser
Jeffery Dean Morgan
Dominic Purcell
Neal McDonough
Toby Stephens
Billy Zane
Casper Van Dien
Josh Holloway
Thomas Jane
Karl Urban
Michael Sheen
Adrien Brody
Josh Brolin ( hey get the trifecta)
Javier Bardem
Aaron Eckhart
Gerard Butler

Adam Copeland, most recently on Vikings.
