What a dope. His DVD sales probably got a bump from it.
Well, I was inspired to watch it on Prime the other night. I used to watch it in the 80s but I don't know if I've seen it since. It's a very fun movie, I think one could enjoy it even if they aren't normally one who would enjoy a typical slasher movie. The 80s tropes and looks are on full display, the robots steal the show and the soundtrack is bouncy. As a kid I had a crush on Kelli Maroney and the movie smartly sets her up as the nerd dream girl.
Well that bloke's clearly a prat. He should be thanking them for introducing his obscure arsed 40 year old shlocky B-movie to a whole new audience. When they name dropped it a few seasons back I honestly assumed it was a made-up movie, and while I'm no connoisseur I'm not exactly ignorant of 80's shlock either.
I'm sure if they knew he'd react this way they'd have probably gone with 'Pulse' or 'Maximum Overdrive' instead.
I doubt it or I'd expect it would show up in those 50 movies on DVD cheapies they used to pump out or youtube. There's also a pretty extensive feature-packed Blu Ray edition.

This just seems to me like an attempt to get attention and/or money and nothing more.
It just feels a bit silly to sue over what was pretty clearly an affection homage, and nothing more.
I'd probably like it. I love those bad old B-Movies.
AND had his entire childhood erased from the timeline.
...and the guilt that (in his mind) he caused his brother to grow up as an orphan...
That’s weird, it’s not on in Canada tonight? It’s not preempted, just not here at all, I have to wait until 3 hours later on an American channel to watch it

I just checked and it's showing in my EPG and the tivo has it marked to record.

Big WTF reveal with Jaying's "other" daughter and who's she's teaming up with!
May and YoYo not "touchy" feeling, rather fighting it out lol
Nice touch of Simmons to give Sousa an updated prosthetic leg.
Funniest moment IMO:
Sousa prepping the parachutes and asking Simmons if she's ever jumped out of an airplane before?
Simmons: twice, but only once with a parachute!
Only 5 episodes left, not sure they are continuing with 2 episodes per decade, but I'd love to see two set in the 90s.
Hoping Daisy, Sousa and Coulson get more scenes again soon.

I have occasionally wondered over the years that given Jiaying's long lifespan (we still don't know exactly when she was born) whether or not Daisy has any half-siblings (and their decedents) out there. If Kora did indeed originally top herself as it's implied in this episode, then it would certainly explain why she was never mentioned by either Jiaying or Gordon, given the circumstances...and even more sense if she ultimately didn't, and yet Jiaying had her put down anyway.
Kora doesn't seem to be based on anyone from the comics. There are a couple very obscure and inconsequential characters with that name, but nothing of any relevance. Korath on the other hand is a name that's associated with both a Kree character (Korath the Pursuer) and and inhuman (Gorgon's father), so maybe it's a sideways reference to them, or just a coincidence?
The name itself doesn't appear to by a typical Chinese name which seems strange, though on pattern considering 'Daisy'. The word does appear in various forms in several languages from Latin, ancient Greek and several west & central Asian cultures. The closest one to making some kind of sense though is the Tibetan one that describes a kind of meditative pilgrimage ritual...or maybe Jiaying just thought it sounded cool?
