"Well, you missed a fair amount, May, but the quick version is you can go ahead and shoot him."
It's good to have proper May back after more than half the season. Looks like the show will continue to develop her relationship with Coulson, and while I was against it before, I'm actually looking forward to where they go with it. May will wonder why Coulson finally opened up the bottle and so I think she'll quickly learn the full truth of what happened while she was gone.
I was genuinely worried Leo would retain his feelings for Ophelia, so I was greatly relieved when he told her that his heart only belongs to Jemma. Leo is confused and in a lot of pain, but at least he has Jemma at his side and it looks like he'll let her back in. Another a bump in the road for the relationship, but I can see it working. Of course, now we have a very angry, very powerful woman who doesn't know how to control her emotions and how to be human loose in the world, wanting nothing but pain for everyone.
Not surprised at all Yo-Yo went back into the Framework but I wonder what she can possibly say or do to convince Mack of the truth and decide to return to the real world. After escaping from her bounds, of course, which I expect is where Ward comes in. Perhaps Ward will help Mack see the truth?
Speaking of Ward, I liked the analogy Leo suggested that he's just like Ward (or rather his experience in the Framework was just like Ward of the real world), in that he was manipulated at a young age by a horrible man to do horrible things. Leo had that experience in the Framework while Ward had it in the real world and their opposites were genuinely good people. I can't believe I'm saying this but I hope they find someway to bring good Ward into the real world, even if the 3D printer was destroyed.
I'm not entirely thrilled by the prospect of having Talbot as an enemy yet again, even if his paranoia is justifiable. I hope Coulson is able to find some way for Talbot to see the truth. Where does Talbot think the real Coulson, May, Simmons, Fitz, Mack, etc. are? Does he think they're all dead?
Glad Agent Piper was the last agent standing of the small group of surviving agents, but I am sorry the rest are dead.
Short of Robbie dragging Ophelia and The Russian (or MODOK as postulated by others, whoever he/it may be) into another dimension with his hellfire chain, I can't see how the next episode doesn't end with a cliffhanger. Too many moving parts are need to be resolved that can't possibly be handled with one last episode.
