They've been divorced or dead or a skrull for decades.
I didn't even realize Mockingbird's actress was the woman who played Wonder Woman in that horrible pilot. I knew she looked familiar, but I couldn't figure out where I'd seen her before. Well, her role as a SHIELD agent is already 1000x more successful then her role as an Amazon princess
. She was also good in GI Joe: Retaliation. I'm also hoping that she gets Mockingbird as an official codename.
And wasn't Howard in Guardians of the Galaxy?I forgot to mention, did anyone catch the reference in this last episode to a cow called Bessie, aka Hellcow?

I know it would never happen, but having Bessie as maybe a Hydra experiment that attacks the SHIELD agents would be epic

The guessing is almost as much fun as the watching, it's nice to see something that caters to people that know stuff as well as good for people that don't. Like that Hellcow refrence, that wouldn't have hurt anyone, like me, not catching it, it didn't slow the plot or cause a problem, but for the people who recognized it, it was great.
I don't word things very well, my point is that small refrences can mean a lot to some people and really enhance their enjoyment without slowing or derailing the plot or alienating the larger audience.
When Mockie whipped out those silver batons and smacked everyone, that was great.
And as bad as that pilot was, she even looks like WW in this SHIELD episode more than in that, and she even had an invisible jet! I think someone is have fun as someone else's expense, and I approve.

I agree with you on the Easter eggs in our current crop of comic book shows. Little throwaway lines like references to Bessie or, like in the latest Flash episode, a theatre marquee advertising a Rita Farr bio-flick are aimed squarely at the long-time fans but don't detract from the larger narrative. I appreciate these small nods to the fandom.

Brit will be in the AoU cast (based on IMDB) and that the Avengers will be taking down a Hydra baddie early in the movie (someone on another website forum failed to spoil it and I'm not following up on it to not spoil it more).
Yeah, it's nonsense. I'm not saying it's not true, but there's certainly nothing clear enough to be probative there.

BJ Britt has been rumored for some time but the rumor is based on someone who thought they saw him. It's more likely they confused him for Falcon, who is apparently in the movie.
Some are saying they white haired guy below is Whitehall. It's also rumoured that B.J. IGN theorized that it was Baron Von Strucker in a Black Widow flashback. That seems a lot more likely to me than Whitehall.
Naw. I was wondering why in the meeting when Simmons said it could kill millions, even billions, he responded with "Pretty awesome, huh?". I think that gave her justification (to herself) to set him up.
It's how everyone in that room thinks.
