Agents of SHIELD - Season 2 Discussion Threads. (Spoilers Likely)

Yeah, I've seen a couple good ones. The only hold up is the Inhuman/Kree connection, which makes me think he's an original character. Otherwise, I've heard Mr. Hyde suggested (making Skye Daisy Johnson/Quake).

Well, he noted to Raina that "Skye" isn't Skye's real name. And of course it can't be "Mary Sue Poots", because...well, just no.

The thing is, as far as Coulson's concerned...

They're of the race whose DNA saved him (and Garrett).

I've heard theories that Skye will be Ms. Marvell, as that's a "legacy character" like Green Lantern...or Deathlock. And apparently the "backstory" of her getting alien DNA to save her life (which gets her the powers) fits that character. (Or am I mixing that with another theory....)

Perhaps there'll be a gag of Skye looking for a "super-name", and settling on "Ms. Marvel" after seeing a Marvel Comic logo...

TBH, though...I do like the "Mr. Hyde" idea. Especially with all the stuff this episode about him struggling to control his violent side. And the big: "No..." "He's a..." "...monster!"

^I know, I kept thinking of Banner, but we've already got one of those.

That's an interesting possibility...would fit the pattern of using characters associated with the MCU's established properties who aren't likely to be used in the films. Not sure how that would tie into the allegedly Kree stuff, though.

Well, the different Marvel Comics universes all tend to have slightly different origin stories--just look at the Guardians of the Galaxy. And none of the Deathlocks were Mike Peterson, in the comics.

So...Mr. Hyde having Inhuman/Kree connections may not be far off, in the MCU.

^It's not one of the "Infinity Stones" like the Tesseract, is it?

(Come to think of it, I think I remember seeing something like the obelisk when the Guardians were shown images of the Stones in their movie.)

I totally geeked out when Mockingbird whipped out her escrima sticks to save Simmons! I actually thought she was a Hydra agent and I thought they were gonna do a whole slow redemption story with her to turn her to SHIELD... nope! lol

also when Hunter told her what's wrong with your hair? I prefer you blond! (exactly my complaint!)

Have you noticed there isn't a single blonde woman in this series?

Hahaha!!!!!! I wasn't expecting Hunter and Morse to be exes on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.!

When I watched season 2 episode 1 "Shadows" on its premiere night, I thought that too, but I dismissed it because I don't think an MCU TV show will connect on THAT level with the films.

If Chloe Bennett is biracial in real life, then I wonder if that will be incorporated into the show. Skye was discovered by S.H.I.E.L.D. in China. Maybe her mom is an Inhuman/Kree who looks like/is Chinese?

Excellent episode! I liked the introduction of Bobbi Morse's character and her role as a double agent. If Hydra survived as a secret organization within SHIELD all these decades, and now SHIELD agents are infiltrating Hydra, will there be a point where Hydra will dismantle because the SHIELD agents outnumber the Hydra personnel?

I wonder what'll happen to Raina now that she's useless to either Hydra or Skye's father.

Why?

She got what she wanted, and the people who were threatening to kill her got what they wanted in exchange to stop threatening to kill her.

Was it all a happy accident, or did every thing go exactly as planned?

Seriously.

You've never seen a girl (in fiction, yes, real life less so,) pretend to cry and seem vulnerable until she gets exactly what she wants?

When she walked out of that restaurant, I assumed she was done. Her attempt to blackmail Coulson to surrender Skye while threatening Simmons' life by blowing her cover failed. (Though at the end, Orson Hodge and Dr. Whitehall ended up meeting face to face.)

And if she didn't get everything she wanted, I would call her a failure.

But she did get everything she wanted.

Did you every hear the story about the little girl who got everything she ever wanted? ...She lived happily ever after.

Cooper got his daughter and a mad on to destroy Coulson who stole her (in his mind).

Skye wanted her father and learnt enough to change her mind which pissed off Cooper into a killer rage.

Kraken got the Obelisk and an ally his was going to force him to prioritize whacking Coulson.

Raina is a genius.

Apart from he tracker in her leg, Flowers got out of the fracas free and clear, and she has the resources to remove it, or she has the wit to use it to her advantage and win out her next adventure by turning weakness into strength.

Verbal judo.

Love it. Payback. It's a :censored:. ;)

Likely as not, she'll become her own villain and work to achieve her own vision of human progress. Or Coulson and Co. may capture her and interrogate her all to heck for what she knows.

Orson Hodge...or Agent Cooper possessed by Bob?

Head Simmons is trying to "make" Fitz gay.

She could smell the real Gemma coming back and had to make provisions.

This dreamgirl is not sharing him with another woman and especially not another Simmons.

Steps were taken.

"Sigh"

Is he really crazy, or is "something" playing him pretending to be a fantasy?

Perhaps....

Also, does "The Diviner" ring any bells for anyone?

Diviner doesn't show up in any search I could find. But that doesn't necessarily mean it doesn't have another name. That being said, unless it's the Soul stone, I don't think it's an Infinity Stone.
