You have a link? That seems like a random change.
It might be the Guardians of the Galaxy prelude since the Marvel Cinematic Universe wiki says he's Sakaaran in the movie.
Yeah, that was what he is now. I searched but couldn't find the interview anywhere. It just stuck my mind because before that everyone had been calling him a Kree, and the comic book version is Kree.
I also posted this in the Avengers 2 thread, but it's relevant here as well.
It would seem that actor...
Spoiler: Avengers: Age of Ultron
...BJ Britt/Agent Antoine Triplett...
...has been spotted on the Age of Ultron set.
Even if it's just a couple of minutes, i think they'd make the most of it, and AoS fans would be very happy to see them
It would help mollify a number of viewers, yes...
It's nice to see to movies appease to the series.
^Well, they're both Joss Whedon-centric as well as Marvel, so it's not a stretch.
Since Age of Ultron will be continuing the HYDRA story thread from The Winter Soldier, S.H.I.E.L.D. will probably be an important plot point. With all the story threads in the movie though, how much time could they dedicate to Coulson revealing himself to the Avengers?
Spoiler: previous spolier
Glad to hear about Triplett. I figured it was only a matter time before someone from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. popped up in one of the movies.
My assumption is still post-credits scene for that.
Spoiler: Age of Ultron
... he'll play his grandfather. Or has another actor already played that character in the first Cap?
Yup. Gabe was in Captain America I played by someone else.
Spoiler: AoU special guest
I don't think Tripplet ever said who his grandfather was. We can assume it was Gabriel Jones because it seems they share they same race but it could have been Dum Dum Dugan.
Great, now we know that Trip can never die in Season Two
Has he been confirmed as a series regular yet?
^^ Yes, I do believe so.
Oh, okay. I really need to see that one.
Well, that's a good point. It would actually be really nice if they did that.
^I'm kinda hoping they do.
Spoiler: Another possibility.
Isn't "Antoine" a French name? That could indicate that Triplett's grandfather is Jaques Dernier.
Surprised there hasn't been a poll about those two options yet. Possibly as part of the Season Two thread...?
Since all S.H.I.E.L.D. agents except Nick Fury, Coulson's team, and Billy Koenig are HYDRA, dead, in custody, or in new occupations, I wonder who are Coulson's top candidates for (re)recruitment. Maria Hill strikes me as a priority, but she seemed pretty hellbent on being on Stark Industries.
Separate names with a comma.
