I liked Hughe's comparison, He's an Austrailian, who played and Austrailian, in a movie called Austrailia.
I don't like the way they're presenting the Best Picture nominees. It's confusing as hell.
Mixing in clips from similar films in the past is a neat montage idea.
Maybe he had a rough spell when he made A Sound of Thunder, Bloodrayne and Thunderbirds. If so, good for him.
Nothing at all wrong with it, I support those rights, fully. That's probably one of the "better" parts of his speech. I just think the guy is an asshole.
Here here. Can't stand it when they break out the paper and go on to thank everyone they've ever known. It's refreshing to hear something that's from the heart, unscripted, and thoughtful.
