Spoilers About that one vault on Daystrom Station..

Paul Wesley.

Chris Pine is too expensive unless it's for a "Movie"; even then, it would have to be for the right movie at the right price.

And if they resurrect Kirk as Paul Wesley, the audience who didn’t watch SNW will be like, “Who the hell is this guy?” And the audience who did watch SNW will be like, “They resurrected this guy that we all hate as Kirk?”

It wasn't Starfleet, but rather Section 31. So of course they're not going to be bothered about sentiments surrounding one's final resting place.

That's not what I said. What I said, there is no friggin use for the body of a near geriatric Starfleet captain. Picard..... maybe.... He was once Locutus, maybe something Borg related. But that is still a huge stretch.
Kirk's remains, in a S31 black site? Nope. Utter nonsense.

At what point does fan service become fanwank?

Exactly. First I don't think Shatner would return at this point. He's 92. If they just wanted to show that his body was retrieved, the scene did it's purpose and they should let it be and concentrate on other characters that are younger and still have many years of stories left in them

I didn't hate Paul Wesley, I thought he was fine overall. Some acting choices he made wasn't what I thought Kirk should be, but maybe that's too many years of seeing Bill Shattner in the role.

True, but there are multiple storyline ways to resurrect a James T. Kirk.

If you were going to "Revive" James T. Kirk, it wouldn't make sense for it to be a old Kirk.

It would be a "Younger" version body wise.

But if you want the "Older Version", Will Shattner would be a Inner monologue / Herman's Head character in the "Younger Body" being portrayed by somebody else.

That would be a 'interesting take', what do you think?

The only two condiments required on hot dogs are Ketchup and Relish, mustard is completely optional. And The Return was a fun read.
I've been told that Southerners have some odd habits but I didn't know that included incomprehensible hot dog condiments. :barf2:

I wouldn't advise trying that combo at a ballpark in NYC or Chicago.

It's a free country.

Ketchup or Tapitos for me on my hot dogs please. Anything else can go pound sand.

Also, I doubt I qualify as "Southerner" given I'm from the Pacific Northwest.

They resurrected Jim... but he turned out to be more Carrey than Kirk.

So they shoved him back into cold storage.

Kirk will be resurrected. Played by Wesley. He will have two “ghost” inner voices - Pine and Shatner.

Picard will then shut him up with the immortal line from Datalore - “Shut Up Wesley”

what will be the last line on the series and the last we ever see of Picard.

I was more concerned about a different quote from that podcast about Kirk's body turning up on Daystrom Station:

"...is it a tip of the hat to The Return, which is a wonderful book I recommend to all of you? Maybe...."

Learning that Terry Matalas thinks The Return was a wonderful book makes me think he probably also likes ketchup on his hot dogs. :barf2:
I loved The Return and I think that ketchup on Hot Dogs is disgusting.
