(ABC) Disney shit its pants. That's the only explanation. They can't employ someone who won't reel in the racism.
Yeah, if ONLY she could reel in her racism... If only... then it would be ok to employ a racist conspiracy monger. As long as no knows, it's totally ok.

The head of ABC Entertainment Channing Dungey. Not only as Channing a woman, she's also African-American so I'm sure that she was just thrilled to have roseanne barr shoot her mouth off on twitter in such a racist and derogatory manner.
It would also be irresponsible for Dungey to all a women who's comments would be nothing to but detrimental to the network to continue to appear on it.
Can't entirely agree with this. Disney/ABC shares a large portion of the blame too. They aren't some innocent rubes who didn't know who they were hiring. Roseanne has a long and well publicized history of posting vile bigoted remarks (and not just jokes like some posters here would like to believe) leading right up to the present day, and they were playing upon her controversial status in promoting the show. The show itself hinged on her bigotry as a plotline occasionally. They were absolutely right to remove her from the air, but they never should have re-hired her in the first place if they had a problem with it. I find the faux shock and outrage on their part when they gave a known bigot a larger venue to speak out to be ridiculous. The bottom line is that they were fine with her bigotry as long as it was happening the day before the revival aired, but objected to her doing it after the fact. You think ABC/Disney wants to be working with someone prone to making racists "jokes"? They should've checked her history before hiring her.
And seriously, what's the joke? It was a racist comparison.
And besides that, why are you blaming ABC/Disney? They didn't tweet racist "jokes."
This is all on Rosanne.
Thing is... finding something wrong elsewhere never makes wrongs, acceptable.Interesting!

Roseanne got canceled but Bill Maher said the N-Word and he still has a show? Making fun blacks being House Slaves was okay? #RoseanneCancelled #ABCCancelsRoseanne

Do you really think that pointing out racism is political correctness? That it's fascist to point it out? Come on, you've been playing the "i'm not racist but I find nothing wrong with it" all day. Be a man and stop dancing around it, you agree with her completely and you're afraid to mention it.This man wouldn't last a day on Twitter
