Another nonsensical finale that skates by on charm rather than resolving the story threads in any meaningful way. But damn was it charming. I'll give it a five.

He wasn't, AFAIK the Doctor was a complete mystery, hence the "Doctor Who" title.I'm sure that he was seen as an alien (weither actually extraterrestrial or just a human from the far future) to contemporary earth from the beginning
