Why would the First Doctor be wearing human clothes while he steals the Tardis? He surely would have been wearing Time Lord clothes.

Do any of the surviving first Doctor episodes contain scenes with William Hartnell in timelord clothes that could have been used instead?

Another nonsensical finale that skates by on charm rather than resolving the story threads in any meaningful way. But damn was it charming. I'll give it a five.

But just this season, the Doctor claimed to have taken Susan to Akhaten... It's possible Ian and Barbara were there too, but it's more likely that this is something they did before Coal Hill School.

Susan screamed every time that she saw an alien.

She would have been raw walking up and down the streets of Akhaten

I fail to see how it was nonsensical or failed to resolve story threads.

There is one thing that my brain keeps coming back to: Trenzalore.

It's claimed that the Doctor must never go there because his grave is there. We theorize that this is the reason the Silence were trying to kill him.

But here's my question. How did the Doctor's grave get there in the first place? What event brings Future Doctor to Trenzalore again? They land in a graveyard full of war veterans, long dead from what seems to be a devastating battle. We have effectively seen the Doctor's death -- his real death.

This isn't Lake Silencio where he can trick his death away. We saw his wibbly-wobbly timey-whimey corpse. I am really intrigued if this is something that will further be explored or contradicted down the road.

The great intelligence said something like...

"It wasn't much compared to the time war, but it was finally too much for the old man"

It was just a bogstandard fight, which he lost.

The spooky shit didn't happen till after the Time Lord was dead and buried.

Rose had enough time energy in her after 5 episodes to bring a Dalek back to full power.

The Doctor was claiming that timespace could fuck up if he was too close to his grave, or learned to much about his death.

No. The Time Lord mythology post-dated Hartnell by several years.

While i haven't had much of an opportunity to get into the classic series (I'v watched only a handful of serials at this point), i know that the assertion, that The doctor is a Time Lord came later, but i'm sure that he was seen as an alien (weither actually extraterrestrial or just a human from the far future) to contemporary earth from the beginning, so there may have been some "spacey"/futuristic costumes along the way that in retrospect could be labeled as Time Lord and might fit TGBs bill.

To think they missed the Ood Sphere by only a few million kilometres.

What's Strax's life expectancy?

I could totally see him having some serious fun during either of the major Dalek Engagements... And what would his thoughts have been on the entire Atmos thing?

Something like not quite the time war but enough to finish him off.

Anything that could actually kill the Doctor after a 1000+ years is more than bogstandard. Or some punk just got lucky.
