What is "Lore War"?

Upcoming Star Trek comic book cross-over. First issue is out in April, so I jumped the gun on suggesting it in this 2026 thread. Here's the solicit for it (used with permission of IDW, and hosted on my own server):

Others have given the real answer, but it can also be used when Trekkies fight about the lore in their favourite franchise.

I’ve heard that one of the common weapons in that war is a canon cannon.

There was the crossover "Telepathy War" mini-series during the Marvel/Paramount comic era.

Come to think of it, there are many "omnipotent" Trek characters that could be used in a "reshaping reality" storyline . . . . Q, Gary Mitchell, Trelane, etc.

The prelude to Lore War features a meeting of several entities - Trelaine, Gary Seven, the Metron, even Kevin Uxbridge and Rukiya. All of this brought together because of an Organian coexisting in the body of one of Sisko’s crew insisting on speaking to them.

Right, right - Kore and Wesley also appear in that arc, so I was getting everything kind of mixed in there.
