Movie titles, too. God forbid you get Gibson & Coe's Footprints on the Moon (the 1969 theatrical Apollo 11 documentary) confused with an Italian horror film released in the US under the same title. Or get Edwards & Stone's musical comedy 1776 mixed up with David McCollough's history book.

Yay! Sounds great. Does anyone know if they're getting audiobook versions? My main problem is that there are about 90494379 Trek novels out there but only a handful of them have unabridged audiobooks, which is my preferred way to experience them. I've taken to buying DRM free ebooks and listening to them with text to speech but a) its really not the same and b) I'd much, much rather support audiobook narrators and the audiobook industry over AI.

Yes, and both audiobooks are available for pre-order now. It seems to be standard for all new Trek novels.

Every recent Trek novel has had unabridged audio. Certainly a lot more than "a handful". In fact, almost sixty!

I keep track of them all here:

(Do a word search on the page using the descriptor "unabridged".)

I do not like the cover Pliable Truths, they used a screen cap of the Venture not the Enterprise for some reason.

But Garek is on it, so it's not totally bad. I hope him and Picard interact.

The Lost to Eternity cover is great.

I think there are only two shots of a Galaxy docked at DS9 from the show, I guess they didn’t want to use the one looking up at the ship, and didn’t commission the cover from a painter or CG artist who could whip up a new angle from scratch.

I like them both. Though since the blurb for Pliable Truths refers to Ro, I was expecting her to appear on it, and I’m kinda disappointed she’s not there. But I honestly liked the angle on the shot used for the “Galaxy class ship docked at DS9” image, so even if it’s not quite properly representative of the Enterprise, I’m good with it.

Saavik on Lost to Eternity definitely makes me smile - I know there were comics set between TFF and TUC that brought her back into the crew, but novel-wise, she’s always felt untapped as a character, so even if it’s only a small role, it’ll be nice to see her - maybe we’ll see more in the future.

I just wonder what great Star trek character from TNG, DS9 or VOY who will be destroyed, humiliated or killed off in any upcoming books.

Last year it was Garak! Who will be next?

Bashir? I've read disturbing comments about him.
Or someone else? What's your guess!

Come on folks, place your bets in the new game Who Will Be Destroyed?

The winner will get a great prize from Paramount in reward. A free DVD-box from TNG, DS9 and VOY in which the discs will start self-destruct after one viewing.

I'm pleased to see more overlap/crossover between eras and properties in these new books. I like that per se and it's also nice given the reduced release schedule.
