Awesome.

This would've been one of mine if they hadn't slipped in that "must have been seen" clause ...

Thanks! This was my first really high-resolution render of any ship, and I was actually a bit surprised by how well it turned out ;).

No its actually the original concept design for the Shuttle but was deemed too curvy to be made then. :)

Guys I feel truly humbled by those images there, I really do. Amazing work guys....someone should do a calendar of all of these, shouldn't they? (hint hint...)

Well congrats to the ones who did win. Anxious to see the winners.

I wish I had the art tools many of the pros here have, but all I had was a simple pencil. And since the rules said pencil artwork was allowed, I went ahead and entered two entries in hopes one of them would win. The first drawing was based on personal project I've been working on in telling the story of the Battle of the Klach D'Kel Brakt. Where it's explains why the I.K.S Klothos was mentioned as a D5 but in TAS was a D7. Simply put, the Klothos had a simple ship conversion.

The second, I went with the "mentioned but never seen" part of the rules and decided to go with the U.S.S. Destiny, which was the ship that delivered Dax to Trill after the loss of Jadzia. And the Destiny, I decided to go a variant of one of my personal designs, which I felt fit the transport role than reusing one of the existing canonical ship designs.

Guess my art still has a ways to go to be part of the Ships of the Line. :p

I think they're both rather impressive! And I like the Destiny's design, rather unusual with the thick crossbar with usable deck space.

I won! They JUST informed me! They didn't go with my cloaked birds of prey scene, but rather a simpler view of my Enterprise-F from the front in a blue nebula that I also submitted.
