2016 Ships of the Line Calendar Contest?

Thanks again everyone! Turns out one of my Facebook friends I've been friends with for a little while has ALSO won! What are the odds?! But he found out a couple weeks back, so I don't know WHAT the process has been for selection. Maybe some people were asked but didn't return the paperwork in time or didn't want to sign over the picture? I dunno - but thats at least a 2 week window of winners being "notified".

Do you know if either of the others won with original concepts? I had rather expected it was your Enterprise-F concept that got through. It's really dynamic. I think the one they chose would look really good in print though. It would make a good cover too.
Is the cover the same as the centerfold? My wife always buys me Beatles callendars...
Nope - the other two folks used existing designs. I think that IS what the whole point of it was - they just didn't word it right. Should've said "Original composition of an existing design" to get the rull meaning, not an "Original Design using an existing design" which makes no sense.
As for placements and stuff - I don't have a friggin' clue. This won't come out til next year, probably Summer at the earliest so we've got a while to wait and see.
Another thing my Defiant thing had going for it - a lot of empty space to whack an actual calendar in there. Although, I'm kind of glad the people voting didn't realise I'd snuck in some airlocks and phaser strips on the model after reading Doug Drexler on Facebook say he wish they could have added some more starfleet embellishments (like airlocks and phaser strips) to make it more "starfleety". Especially because those additions were placeholders I forgot I'd put on it so they're super lo-res :P

An excellent rendition of perhaps my favorite Trek ship.
Since winners are being notified as much as two weeks apart I'm gonna hold out hope until there is an official announcement of the lucky 13.
