EXPENSIVE.
Scary.
New job, the weight of the world on my shoulders in the form of a half-million dollar mortgage in an economy that is iffy, forcing myself to deal with personal things I've not really wanted to deal with.
Sometimes I just shake my head and wonder if I stepped in some real deep shit and just what the hell I have gotten myself into.
But at the same time, I am both excited and glad to be moving out of my own personal "safe zone" I've established over the last few years. Tear down those walls!

Lots of ups and downs and highs and lows this year, both personally and in the world at large. It was a year of contrasts.

On several levels. I finally decided to get my shit together and take the eduction I wanted, that of filmmaking, and have thus gotten way better an idea of what I want to do with my life (I've got a few projects coming up after school, on that involves Trekkers so keep a lookout for more info about it). I've lessened my depression somewhat, partly by getting a new friend trough school. My sister moved out of the apartment and into Japan. And the outcome of the US presidency race was favorable to my politics.
