‘Superman & Batman’ movie will follow ‘Man of Steel’

One of the most criticised aspects of MOS was the climax, which many, myself included, saw as just an orgy of CGI fisticuffs and destruction in downtown Metropolis. It's hard to see how involving Doomsday would improve any on this.

Besides, if the movie is to introduce Lex, Batman and Aquaman, with the last 2 allegedly being initially hostile to Kal-El (not to mention Wonder Woman, Alfred and others, such as Holly Hunter's as yet unnamed character), the addition of Doomsday will make for a very cluttered film.

IF Doomsday is in the movie, I have a feeling, it will be Luthor who created him and he will be unleashed for the 3rd act... and we have more CGI slugfests.

So Batman is going to be horribly murdered in the third act then?

That's the sort of creative bravery I don't expect from Synder.

After the non fight with Doomsday on Smallville, I wouldn't mind seeing a proper slugfest in Dawn Of Justice. And with the possibility of Thanos in the thrid Avegners movie it's likely DC would put Darkseid in the JLA movie.

I'd imagine the exact opposite, as they wouldn't want to be seen "copying" them with the same general plot idea.

Except for the fact that so far they seem to be doing their damn best to rip off the concept of the avengers without bothering to build the world the way marvel did

So, they're ripping them off by not ripping them off?

Ha, no kidding. If DC slowly built up the world over multiple movies the way Marvel did, people would just accuse them of ripping off Marvel even more.

There's just no winning for them, apparently.

Of course DC originated the team-up idea in the comics, and grouped together Superman, Batman and WW before Marvel did the same thing with their characters. So who's really ripping off who here? ;)

Now there you go, pointing out things like historical facts again...flying in the face of carefully managed popular perception...

Except Marvel comics were always intended to be a shared universe. The superheroes in DC were in there own individual universes till they were all merged together.

:wtf: Because there wasn't one in MOS?

There was no fight against Doomsday in MOS was there? No, I was talking about the non-fight that Clark had against Doomsday on Smallville. :sigh:

I get that, but, my point is that a slug fight is pretty much the same as any other slug flight. What would be the big difference? MORE buildings coming down? Metropolis becoming MORE of a wasteland?

I guess... I just don't CARE. It'll be two CGI creations hitting each other. I'm not so taken with Doomsday that I need to see him exchange blows with Superman.

I don't know this "Smallville" that you speak of.... ;)

They were merged early on though. The first issue of All-Star Comics to star the JSA came out in 1940.

IIRC, Hulk was shown to a comic book character in an issue of Fantastic Four, so the shared Universe idea was a bit spotty at first.

I wasn't much of a fan of the Superman:Returns suit. Mostly in the area of the tiny little boy-panties they put Routh in. Sheesh, those things must've been cutting off circulation and causing his sperm-count to crash and to lose blood circulation in his ass.

So, on Saturday, the movie's cinematographer Larry Fong tweeted a pic of its on-set photographer Clay Enos, referring to a 'fun, historic day.' Now, what might he have been photographing that was so historic? The first time that a live-action big screen Superman, Batman and Wonder-Woman (or maybe just two out of the three) were onset together perhaps? With comic-con approaching, that's my bet.
