‘Superman & Batman’ movie will follow ‘Man of Steel’

Harley Quinn and Deadshot aren't A-list comic book characters. WB should market it with the Joker in front.

Deadshot may not be an A-list character, but Will Smith is certainly an A-list movie star.
Didn't stop "After Earth" from bombing.

Hey man, you can't blame Smith for Jaydenism and Shyamalanisms. Paul Giamatti couldn't save Lady in the Water, if you recall.

MiB 3 wasn't as big as its predecessors either.
Actually, MIB 3 is the highest grossing film of the MIB trilogy. It's MIB 2 that's the lowest rated (by critics) and has the lowest gross.

Also, I agree with a poster above regarding the Deadpool movie--why release it in February if the studio thinks it will be a hit. I will probably watch it when it comes to Netflix, right after I watch Hansel and Gretel.

Spielberg commented on how crowded "seasons" take away from box office takes for all films, which would lead to the death of the "blockbuster" and that the best thing studios could do is spread the release dates out. Give each of these films some breathing room to make their money. Looks like Hollywood is cautiously trying this.

What you said, Lensman.

Recall a lot of people were ragging on WB for "blinking", when they moved BvS to the end of March, from May 6th.

If they had kept it in May 6th date, they would've have had several films to compete against.

Captain America Civil War on May 6th
Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderlan Through the Looking Glass on May 27th.
X-Men Apocalypse on May 27th.

2016 is headed for blockbuster overload, like Spielberg predicted.

Yeah, it did really well overseas, but it under performed at home (it had nearly twice the budget than MiB 2, and nearly 3x the budget of the first one).

Also, there's inflation. In terms of ticket sales, MiB 1 is still the biggest earner, and by a sizable margin.

Wait a minute! Disney is doing a DOOM film? (Just kidding. :D )

Wow, sounds like pretty soon we could not only have two different Flashs on screen, but two different Supergirls as well!

I definitely love the idea of fitting her in (since we did already see her open pod in MOS), but I'm not really sure why Brainiac would try to get the Codex out of her since it was pretty well established in MOS that Kal-El was the one it was given to.

Yeah, I was confused by the Codex thing to. I thought it was put specifically into Kal-El, not a family thing. Unless he's hoping he can use her to lure Superman into some kind of trap or something.

It would be great to finally see Brainiac on the big screen, though having Bizarro as well would be a mistake. I know it's a "thing" to have more than one villain in a superhero movie, but I think the result is always weaker than focusing on one source of evil. (And who the hell is crying out to see Bizarro in a movie?)

Using the codex would be odd - why would Brainiac even want it? Unless it becomes some BS power source like the tesseract. If it was in Supergirl, that would require a new back story for her - she'd probably be Supes' sister.

It would take a lot to turn him into a "b" or "c" level actor

-He'd have to star as Johnny Storm in a "fantastic 4" sequel

-have a meltdown on tv

-bankrupt himself by buying rare comics

-star in "ghost rider"

Actually I've always been a big Bizarro fan and would love to see him used in a movie someday. Although probably more as some dark and sinister Frankenstein-style monster or twisted reflection of Superman (similar to the evil Supes in SIII) than as just the dumb misunderstood guy he's often been portrayed as in the comics and cartoons.

Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor is Alexander Luthor Jr.

Also, there's a small plug for "Kord Industries". ;)

Oh, I like that.

So Alexander Luthor Senior passed away unexpectedly in 2000. Anyone want to bet that a little fratricide took place?

(Kinda wish he'd been called Lionel though...)

Also, Wayne Enterprises has apparently shied away from military production over the last decade or so. Is this because Batman retired?
