Pretty cool new image of Superman pulling something really heavy... for some reason...

Maybe he's dragging it to his Fortress to hang as a souvenir?

Am I misremembering that Silver/Bronze-Age Superman had an actual ship of some type hanging from the ceiling in his Fortress? I couldn't find an image to confirm it. If he did...guess he couldn't be outdone by a giant penny and a robot dinosaur!

Still amazing to me that they're even considering making an Aquaman movie.

To be fair to DC, people said the same thing about Ant-Man and Guardians of the Galaxy, and they turned out well, so there is a precedent of less popular or almost unknown heroes getting successful movies. Of course, that was with Marvel, who turn anything into gold because they hjave good people working with them. DC movies have Zach Snyder in charge, who probably couldn't turn Batman into gold if so many of the general audience weren't willing to mindlessly see Batman v Superman just because of the Batman brand.

What I'm saying is that an Aquaman movie actually makes sense to me because of how superhero movies are nowadays. Plus Aquaman is generally a pretty cool character, regardless of what some crappy cartoons did to him 40+ years ago. If the people behind Marvel movies were making Aquaman, they'd probably redeem him to the general audience like Tim Burton made non comic fans forget about Adam West's goofy Batman. But, with Zach Snyder as overall DC guy, we'll probably get a really gritty Aquaman that doesn't do anything to stop the superfriends jokes. The potential for aquaman is there, but there is no one working with DC capable of realising that potential when all they are allowed to do is copy Nolan's tone and work with mediocre creative people like Snyder.

This is the last picture of Lois Lane taken before her body was found with a snapped neck in a phone booth near the Daily Planet building. If you have any information, call the Metropolis PD at...

That extended clip of Lex making his "fight night" speech. Is it just me or does anyone else think
that's a clone of Superman he's talking to? The extended clip seems like Lex is giving him instructions on what to do and Superman is listening and reacting ... weirdly to a speech of that nature.

I certainly don't see Snyder as some great visionary, but personally I'd still be a lot more interested to see whatever weird and crazy thing DC does with the character-- even if it's not completely successful in the end-- than have it turned into yet another bland, formulaic, and family friendly Marvel movie.

Whatever "Zach Snyder DC" does I think it's safe to say Jason Momoa's Aquaman will stop the Superfriends jokes for most people.

I suppose it comes down to the fact that I don't see Marvel as bland or formulaic. They've made the best superhero movies ever made, and they will continue to do so. I'll take that over the shitty grimness and cheap copying of Nolan that DC does. I don't want edgy crap, and calling Marvel "family friendly" is the stupidest insult I've ever heard. Yeah, Marvel doesn't have Thor snapping necks, and Marvel characters do more then just whine and brood. That doesn't make them inferior to DC's angsty crap just because DC is supposedly less suitable for children.

Instead, based on DC's track record, they'll probably make jokes about how Aquaman acts like Nolan's Batman or maybe The Punisher if they breathed underwater :shifty:

I saw a quote the other day from an interview with Zack and Deborah Snyder and they specifically said they are allowing the directors the freedom to make their own kinds of movies, with their own tones, so I don't think it's really fair to be using his style to criticize one of the movies he isn't directing, that isn't coming out until 2018. I think it's pretty clear from the trailers that Suicide Squad is going to have a very different style and tone from Man of Steel and Batman v Superman.

Its Warner Brothers, aka The Studio, that tells director's what tone to set in the end, not Zach Snyder. Plus, all Justice League characters are going to have to fit Snyder's style for the JL movie, so there is no way we get much variation in their own movies. Maybe a director will be allowed to, say, not make Flash or Aquaman into murderers. Maybe. But that's probably as far from Zach Snyder's "vision" as we'll see.

As for Suicide Squad, we don't even know the tone of it. The trailer makes it look like a horribly thought out GotG rip off, but it could be darker then Man of Steel. It looks like the writer/director was given the project without knowing what Suicide Squad is, and then proceeded to make the movie without even glancing at the Squad's Wikipedia page. That's about all you can see in the trailer, everything else could just be the trailer creating false expectations.

Give it a rest.

Uh...no? I'll talk about what I want, and that's a big issue with DC. But, I suppose as long as its the opposite of what Marvel is doing, a lot of people will love to see mass murder in the DC movies. Anything to not be like the actually good superhero movies. Of course, at PG-13 DC movies can't get the massively bloody deaths that Snyder probably wants, but after Deadpool, who knows. An R-Rated Flash where his suit starts out white, but becomes red because of the blood stains of his victims is probably something Snyder sees in his dreams :wtf: You know Snyder wants more death, its probably only WB keeping the ratings to PG-13 that will stop the DC movies from having a higher body count then Jason Voorhees.

Side note: The spell check in my web browser knows how to spell Voorhees
