Did anyone spot the TARDIS in this week's 'Strange New Worlds'?

I like to think The Doctor was stuck and trying to get out in a concurrent adventure but was conveniently saved by the Enterprise crew escaping so just carried on on his way.

One of the writers on Enterprise wanted to include a TARDIS in an ep but the showrunner shot it down.
But the 31st Century ship we got in that episode was pretty close
The Chameleon Circuit was working that day.
Well...I guess I have another good reason to give Enterprise a second chance (I quit after the second season and never came back, aside from watching a handful episodes like the Brent Spiner epsiodes).

I guess the Enterprise found out what happened to Gallifrey.

Yep, turns out Pelia was The Doctor's companion at one point.
What I find funny about that is that, in my head (I will not append the word "canon"), I like to think that the sixth Doctor and Jean-Luc Picard traveled together (with Frobisher) for a time, in the period after Picard lost the Stargazer. I can't really explain why I think this, only that I find the idea of this TARDIS team appealing, maybe for the same reasons Six and Evelyn Smythe were appealing -- the atypicalness of the pairing.

I just love the idea of Picard sharing scenes with a talking penguin. Thank you for creating that image in my head. :guffaw:

Presumably the next burning question becomes: Which Doctor was Pelia a companion of? (I like the idea of tying in to her previous comment about loving the 1980s and having her meet the Doctor then, so if we’re going by primary era that gives us at least three to choose from, though of course technically it could be any.)

OK wow that's a huge thing if it really is Dr Who... And Pelia would have been a fun companion

There was a link to the clip down the page in the comments

Well, that would certainly be an interesting team.

Incidentally, after the IDW comic crossover, I thought it might be fun to have a sort of reference to it in the show. I imagined a chat between the Eleventh Doctor and Clara, where the Doctor would say something like "Captain Picard, wonderful chap." Clara would ask "do you mean Patrick Stewart?" The Doctor would answer "No, I mean Captain Picard."

I'm somewhat attached to the Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker).

To me he's the definitive Doctor Who.

Well, sure — if you’re of A Certain Age, there can be no other. But Pelia feels like she maybe belongs more to the goofier, cheesier, more weirdly candy-colored John Nathan-Turner years, so maybe Colin Baker or Sylvester McCoy.
