The simple rule of thumb for TV is that no one is allowed to be hotter than the stars of the show, or every thing gets very mirror, mirror quite quickly.

Any new player to the game, has to be less attractive than the Masons and/or Anne.

I think that's for the best. I enjoy this show, but I'd rather not see it drag on too long. This will give them a whole season to wrap it up-- I hope they use it wisely.

Good news indeed! At least we'll get a definitive ending, which is all I've wanted from the beginning.

Now, bring on these other Big Bad Aliens!

At least they'll be able to write towards a finale and they can't say they weren't given the opportunity. Hopefully they run with it instead of creating Camp Nazi Brainwash 2.0 and throwing in another set of aliens by upping the confusion factor to 11.

I know how it will end.

The 5th season will have the good aliens and the humans looking to destroy a mega power source. They destroy it and realize that the power plant they destroyed was using the Earth itself. They watch in horror as the explosion leads to the center of the Earth and the Earth explodes!

Everyone dies, the galactic war is over.

(Later they realize they want more seasons, so a spinoff is created. Right before the planet blows up some alien and other humans we have never met travel back in time. But have gone too far! It's 1980's LA and their time machine is broken, will they ever be able to get back to the future and save mankind?!)

Too bad Lourdes isn't even a character anymore. She's just there to push whatever the narrative is, although I guess that's still more than Dai or Anthony ever got to do for supposed "regulars." They even pushed the actress' name back to second-to-last in the credits.

I agree, Lourdes doesn't even seem human anymore. I never expected that any tv show would allow a Christian character to stay good and true to their religion anyway,

Lourdes was beautiful in previous seasons, but she looks sickly.

My very arbitrary and meaningless point is that she seems to my eye much thinner than she used to be.

If I'd just met her, I'd probably be fine, but it's the change from her old weight 3 or 4 years ago to her new weight which is alarming.

It wasn't my intention to say that she isn't beautiful because she looks sickly, I was meaning that it shouldn't matter if she is beautiful or not until she is healthy again.

So, is it me or has she lost 20 pounds since season one?

I haven't noticed. I think she looks great this season. I do wish they'd do something better with her character, though.

Meanwhile, my opinion of this show, I have to admit, has seriously been downgraded this season (Yes, people, I'm finally a naysayer.) Magic Baby Daughter Mason has finally brought me beyond my level of tolerance for nonsense.

I just laugh at what the producers consider super powers to be.

If she thinks really hard for 3 minutes she can then summon enough wind to slowly strangle someone.

Remember when Willow turned that bad guy (Warren?) inside out?

Now that's "power".
