Yes, because tracking the heroes, standing up to Vader, and luring the Jedi Knight into a trap for Vader, being unflappable in the face of a thermal detonator, engaging the Jedi in combat and then getting killed by King of Cool Han Solo through mishap are totally comparable to swinging your lightsaber to deflect a droid-fired blaster bolt and then committing suicide by doddering old man and poor editing.
Kit Fisto =/= Boba Fett. You can't deliberately create a cult favorite character by holding a shot on him and having him mug for the camera. That's like giving yourself a nickname. Ironically, this also applies to Boba Fett himself. See the Special Edition of ANH where he inexplicably appears just to mug for the camera. That shot made him less cool, George. In fact, every single time the camera swings over to him for more gratuitous mugging throughout the Special Editions, he gets less and less cool.
As for the main thrust of the thread, is this a delayed April Fools, or what? That scene between the Jedi Deathsquad and Palpatine was beyond embarrassing. It was like they choreographed this awesome, blazing fast sword fight between Palps and 4 Jedi sabermasters in their heads, and then started filming and realized Ian McDiarmid is fucking old as fuck and he and the Jedi actors had zero weapons ability. They literally have to use editing tricks to kill the 3 redshirt masters, but even that fails as the timing is completely off, making it look like each one just stood there and did nothing while Palps whacked them with his light whiffle bat. The fight between Obi-Wan and Vader in ANH was more believable.
All three prequels had better fights than this. I'm frankly baffled as to how this 15 second clip stands out as "epic". Not to mention, giving a character like Yoda or Emperor "I Mock Luke's Lame Jedi Weapon" Palpatine a lightsaber and having them hop around like Mexican jumping beans completely misses the point of both characters being the most powerful Force users around.
Usually, when it gets down to your wizard whipping out his dagger, or laying about with his quarterstaff, you know the party is fucked. Unless your all-powerful master of magic wizard is also a sooper-kewl unbeatable swordmaster, in which case the class is clearly broken and oops! there goes any tension or excitement when they encounter "threats".
