Next Film Bad Guy Should Be.....

Villains with revenge are common, but they work. We had villains that have been Star Trek Admirals. We the villain has been within the federation. I would not call a villain being a Klingon or someone outside of the federation. As they have been part of the leadership of the other society. A villain is not part of a society.

When we deal with a villain, the villain has always been a male. Is it time to have a female villain?

No they weren't. Everything about them was designed around a decentralized concept. Their ships, their will. The queen was the antithesis of their initial concept.

Agreed. The Borg Queen was an overextended concept for me.

Whatever form the next Borg Queen takes, I doubt it'll be any more like the FC/VOY version than ID's Khan was like the original.

Future MU Khan-blood antimatter Kirk.

 Anti matter tribbles. I just get the image of someone chucking them like grenades. :guffaw:

Classic Trek plot with Classic Trek themes for the 50th anniversary.

Fed-Klingon relations break down and war erupts. Baddie Klingon leader vs. Kirk is being set up for a showdown.

...and then the Doomsday Machine arrives indiscriminately destroying both sides.

Prospect of mutual annihilation forces Kirk and Klingon Baddie to work together to destroy Doomsday Machine. After they succeed, an uneasy truce is called and the Fed-Klingon War is halted. For now.

Maybe the question should be "Next Film Good Guy Should Be.....". Why is there such an obsession to put ultimatte bad guy into each Trek incarnation. It reminds me of the lousy TV series with "bad guy of the week" format. Star Trek was always beyond that.

But to answer the original question - The universe ("Let's see what's out there")

how about Nomad? It wasn't really a villain, it was just carrying out what it believed to be its mission.

My theory, it will be the mirror universe.

Personally I would open with the Cardassians occupying Bajor with the Enterprise warping away because of the prime directive. Showing how Kirk has grown and give us fans a nod.

I hope and pray it will not involve the Borg or time travel.
