What episode is this frame from?

I was doing some cleaning today and found one of the
many film frames I bought from Lincoln over 40 years ago.

I dont have a projector any more so I just took a photo with my iphone. Sorry for the crappy quality.

Sulu is not at the helm, any Idea what episode its from?
I was wondering if Star Trek History can use it?

While I'd bet real money that it's Lt. Leslie (twin # 1 or 2) in the background at the engineering station, I can't yet identify the helm officer (thought it might be Lt. Hansen).

Next one, please.

I'm thinking the Menagerie, just before Kirk/Mendez beam aboard from the shuttle chase.

It's not aired footage from part 1, I just watched it.

I still think it's from The Menagerie.

It could be from unused footage.

Watching Part 2

I vote Lt. Hansen and The Menagerie also.

This is what Trek used to look like for me circa 1975, watching the bleached out 16mm prints from WKBG Channel 56 in Boston on our beat up little color set with the UHF loop antenna on the back.

It's not from Part 2, but I'm convinced that it is from the Menagerie.

My bet is unused footage from part 1. It looks to be Lt. Hansen to me as well.

And Push The Button, same here. I grew up watching Ch 56 in Boston as well.

...you know, there is a kind of societal poetry and song to your description, Push...we have so many threads about the meaning and hidden meaning and favorite and first and where and why, and they are all so cool to read and contribute to...it is, of course, why we are all here...but your description above...no 1080...no 1081 ( :) ) no Blu-ray or Hi-Def HDMI...no remote ( )...THAT is what it is about...how it started...why...where... :bolian:

Hansen was also in Court Martial, but I can't remember offhand if there are any shots like that.

I vote Lt. Hansen and The Menagerie also.

Trek was one of the few enjoyable things in an otherwise miserable childhood for me, and my love and appreciation for it has deepened over the years. It is one of the few things in my life that has never let me down. No matter how bad of a day that I've had dealing with the parade of jackasses at my stupid job, I know that I can come home and make it all disappear for an hour by watching Kirk, Spock, McCoy and Scotty save the universe one more time.

^^ I sympathize. At least we see people that are competent in their professions and passionate about it and they work together but not against each other. One of the many positive visions we owe the Great Bird of the Galaxy.

@ Myko

In "Court Martial" Leslie wasn't on the bridge and the board of inquiry was near the engineering station, I think Maurice got it nailed.

I think Myko is talking about the tag of the episode--where the court-martial is over, the trial board has left, and Areel Shaw gives Kirk a book and bids him goodbye. In that scene, Hansen is indeed at helm, and Leslie is indeed at the Engineering station.

Nevertheless, the unused clip is indeed likely from "The Menagerie." Alchemist might know best.

You are right, got it. I think the monitor display image above the engineering station won't help us either, because "The Menagerie" was shot right after "Court Martial".
