Arrow - Season 2

Ok another solid outing for this show in the books. I am really not trusting Walter right now for some reason. Felicity needs to learn to keep her mouth closed. Thea had a smoking hot dress on. I dont care if Laurel ever becomes Black Canary but can see that at some point the League will come back and kill Sarah probably in front of Laurel spurring her into action.
Now the Olympic break begins and then it looks like Slade will reveal himself. Cant wait.

That was the best episode of the season.

I'd like to see Laurel become Black Canary but it's hard to see that happening now. Then again, given how fast things can happen, who knows.

By the way, I like your idea about how to incorporate the scream, Sketcher.

Loved this episode.

Loved Sarah. I liked her up until now, but I could have enjoyed Laurel if she'd been handled right. However, Sarah has personality, credibility as fighter, history with Ollie far beyond what Laurel has, and a solid backstory.

I would hate it if they killed her off. The only reason to kill her off is to shoehorn Laurel in the Canary role, but she just doesn't have the street cred to make it believable.

No offence to any alcoholics, but substance abuse happens so that someone can deal with a weakness. It is not a sign of inner strength, it is a sign of the opposite. Laurel can get her act together, but not in a time frame that would be believable. If they turn her into an instant hero, it breaks so much of what is great about this series.

Now, what about Moira? Why is Ollie so pissed? He already knew she'd had an affair. The fact that she got pregnant is realistic. It is a fact of life. How do you accept an affair, and then not accept the consequence? Ollie could easily have gotten Sarah or Shado pregnant. He was hardly being noble or responsible. How does he justify holding Moira to a higher standard?

His stance against his mother cannot last. Blood will start to attack her in public, while Slade is stalking her in the shadows.

Diggle has less and less to do each week. How long is he going to last? He hasn't actually had a role to play in several episodes.

Felicity? Where does she fit now? We keep getting reminded of her unrequited attraction to Ollie. Reminded for a reason, I'm sure. What reason? Now that we know Sarah is bisexual....

It was a pretty good episode with such themes as secrets and discoveries. Oliver is not too happy to find out Moira's secret - her previous affair with Malcolm Merlyn that conceived Thea. Laurel is pissed off upon learning her long-thought-dead sister has been alive all these years and blames her for everything that's gone wrong with her life. Can't say I blame her for feeling that way.

It wasnt until hours after the ep was over that I realized Roy did not make an appearance, but it was a crowded episode anyway.
Glad they are making such good use of Glau on the show.(Sarcasm alert)

Sarah for me is Black Canary and I dont know if I could accept the switch to Laurel. It would have to be very well handled to make it work.

I can understand Ollie being really upset at his mother, the mountain of lies has just been building since his return and this last one just broke him.

How long can this show put off a Rhas appearance? Once he learns his daughter let Canary go I would think he would be quite miffed. No one leaves the League.

The flashbacks were again handled quite well and this show has them down pat for giving us back story. Would love to see some of Sarah training with the League after they deal with the Ivo stuff. Who now that I mention him must make a present day appearance.

I was kind of disappointed that Dinah (Laurel and Sarah's mother) didn't let loose a sonic scream before Ollie showed up to save her. Sure, it wouldn't really fit in with Black Canary's refurbished story, but I was disappointed nonetheless. Especially when she looked like she was about to (which, again, was probably more of a wish than reality).

Excellent episode once again. This show is balancing a lot of storylines but is doing it well.

I know Laurel (whose face has becoming disturbingly skinny) has legitimate reasons for being upset with Sara but I don't have any sympathy for her. She's become so unlikeable and self-absorbed, blaming everyone for her problems that it made me especially glad when Oliver and Sara hooked up again. A few people were joking that when Laurel told Sara she had "stolen her life" that it was probably a meta-comment that Loitz at the role Katie Cassidy was promised. The writers have been doing her best to make her unlikeable and I don't see how she could become Black Canary. Quite frankly, I don't want to see her become BC because we've got a good one already.

I enjoyed the Felicity/Moira interaction, those two have seldom shared scenes together. Although I wonder how wise it was for Felicity to reveal that.

I loved the Felicity/Moira scene as well, and I like how the show is reminding us that actually Moira is quite a devious woman, maybe it's just me but I'd kinda forgotten that because of the trial storyline where she was very vulnerable.

I did think Oliver was a bit hypocritical re: lying to people. He's going to be so pissed off if he ever finds out that Moira knows Merlyn is still alive.

I agree with the comment someone else made about Walter, there's something about him that makes it seem like he's up to something.

The cast is getting very crowded, Diggle has basically just been standing around in the background for a while now.

Yeah I REALLY hope the writers decide to kill off Laurel and have Sarah fully embrace being the BC. I am gonna be seriously upset if they actually kill off Sarah and shove Laurel down our throats. I have nothing against Cassidy (I really liked her on Supernatural), but I absolutely cannot stand Laurel.

There doesn't really seem to be anywhere for Laurel to go at the moment. Even her romance with Ollie has taken a back seat and it seems like she's been trumped in those stakes by Sarah and Felicity.

Here's a theory that I wonder has been considered -- Sara takes Laurel's identity. Sara is officially dead, isn't she? And if Laurel dies in some kind of circumstance, now that her parents know that she is alive...they can bury her somewhere without the authorities knowing. Sara takes Laurel's Identity (through Social Security number, etc.)...and she then goes by Dinah Lance, so it will be harder to track her down.

That might work better, if they like the Sara character more than Laurel...

Also we got the training & sonic scream taken care of, without some crazy out of the blue training.

Think it's too late for that considering all the cops that showed up at the end there. Pretty safe to say that Sarah is no longer considered dead.

Now that we know Sarah is bisexual....
We do?
At least, strongly implied by intensity of the kissing of her woman and her man in one episode.
I dont care if Laurel ever becomes Black Canary but can see that at some point the League will come back and kill Sarah probably in front of Laurel spurring her into action..
I disagree on two fronts. The League has to stick to their internal code, and if they put such strong emphasis on it that someone can't leave without permission, they have to recognize that some CAN leave when they are released. Otherwise, any rules they have kind of loose credibility.

Other front, Slade has history with Sarah, and will soon find out she is alive. He would certainly go after Sarah instead of Laurel or anyone else, especially if Ollie and Sarah continue kissing.

We attended a Q&A with [Katrina] Law and Arrow bosses Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim to talk about the decision to make Nyssa gay and Sara bisexual, as well as what's next for Oliver (Stephen Amell) now that Sara is staying in town and they ended the episode with a hot hookup. Plus, the executive producers tease Felicity's (Emily Bett Rickards) backstory and tension with Sara...
Guggenheim adds that the writers made it a point not to use the word "bisexual" when talking about Sara. "We really wanted to approach it like not be salacious and be sensitive and be realistic. We actually specifically avoid using the term bisexual. We didn't want to label her at all. Let her be her own person."

Lax, I think only one person can release you from the League and its not Nyssa.

As far as the bisexual thing, eh who cares as long as the story is solid.
