The Walking Dead Season 4

The Talking Dead after the montage of kills/deaths in the episode:

Father. Farmer. Doctor. Friend. - Rest in peace, Hershel.
Father. Leader. Tyrant. Madman. - Rot in Hell, Governor.

I sort of wish The Governor didn't get brained. He deserved to become a Walker.

What a great episode. Tops this season and possibly ever. Glad theya re back on the road, it opens up a lot of new story lines.

Not surprised about Judith. Just like the Chief/Cally baby in BSG - at a certain point the baby weighs down the characters and they have to get rid of it somehow. Otherwise, where's the baby when they're off saving the universe?

The Talking Dead didn't put Judith in the "honoring the dead" montage and the discussion seemed to suggest Judith's fate is unknown at this point. I wouldn't count her out, though the bloody carseat makes her fate pretty likely grim. But we won't know, for sure, until February.

I had thought Judith was on the bus. I really, really doubt they killed her that seems very dark, even for this show.
I hear you, & like I said, I'm not 100% sure, but do the math. What person would take the baby out of its car carrier, making it more difficult to transport? Then leave the carrier full of blood stains, meaning they're hemorrhaging profusely. Contrarily, if a walker fed on the baby & took it, that is exactly what the end result would look like. It's not a closed case, but it's pretty hard to ignore the signs

BTW, Lauren Cohen should never wear makeup. She is one of those rare cases where rouge, lipstick & blue eye shadow actually does an injustice to how amazing beautiful she is

There are of course possibilities--but, well, how far could they possibly go in showing a baby killed by zombies?

Holy crap, what an episode.

Daryl kicked a tank's ass. Daryl kicked a tank's ass!

Let me just say that one more time in case you missed it:

Daryl kicked a tank's ass!!!!!!!!!!!!

Key takeway: the two sisters taking up arms and saving a life. Carol--as always--was right to teach them to fight. There's no getting around that. If the girls were sheltered, guess what would have happened?

Yes, Carol was right.

Hershel and the Governor took the expected direction.

With Beth running off with Daryl, I wonder.....

Carl has now become the new resident badass, never giving up on his father, and fearless.

Well, if you're a child carrying a baby in your arms may be easier than lugging around the carseat. Though, yeah, I don't think it looks too good for Judith but it's up in the air right now until we get on-screen confirmation. Whomever picked her up simply may have had secondary blood transfer from the battle.

She has a face? I was transfixed by her legs! (Though I've a thing for legs in black hosiery.) I agree, though, she's got a face that does well without much makeup (some make-up, naturally, is required when you're on a TV show panel. The make-up artists for TTD simply may not be very good at complementing her looks/complexion. I've seen her in other interviews where she looks great but still must be wearing makeup given the nature of television.)

I don't think anyone was ever opposed to Carol teaching the children how to fight and use weapons. Hell, even Rick seemed to more-or-less agree it was a necessary thing. Everyone just had a problem with Carol killing two people who were not a threat.

I'm not convinced she actually did it.

I sort of wish that Rick didn't get punked in the fight between him and The Governor and Rick had been the one to get in the kill and had dominated in the fight. Michonne getting the kill is okay but, really, I think Rick more deserved it. Or maybe better Maggie or Beth.
Michonne got him but it was Lilly that finished him. And deservedly so. Not only was he responsible for everybody who died at the prison, but it was his choice to run off to the prison and not stay with her and protect Meghan that was responsible for Meghan's death. If he would've kept an eye on Meghan like he promised, she would still be alive.

I assume you mean she was covering for Lizzie or Mika? While that's possible, I tend to doubt it, because if was trying to take the blame for someone else's actions, I think she would have shown some remorse for the actions. The problem wasn't just that she was a killer, but that she was so cold about it too.

Well, Michonne's attack created a mortal wound. That's why she left him on the ground. The Governor was already dying when Lilly found him.

By the way...we know severed heads reanimate, so somewhere in that field rests Hershel's head (someone dropped out of a car at the start of the battle).

Yeah, Carol "owned" the killing of them pretty solidly.

I'm guessing Judith is alive. When running for your life, it's easier to do so just holding a baby, instead of holding a much bulkier carseat with a baby in it.

Quick question: In that final scene with the zombies walking into the prison, they really seem to focus on the one female zombie. They pan up and then stay with a focus on her face for a couple of beats. It made me feel like I was supposed to know who she was, though I didn't recognize her at all. Anyone else catch this or have any thoughts? Or just me?

She was the girl with the hurt ankle that ran into Rick and Carol a couple episodes back.

Still thinking Lizzy is the rat killer/dissector. Did Lizzy and her sister get away with some of the others or did they stay behind to go feral in the prison?

I've seen her similarly dolled up plenty of times too, & it never looks as good as a more natural makeup or none at all

He took down a tank, flushed its driver out into the open & put the stupid army hat wearing dipshit down with a fucking arrow

Just about as badass ass the last thing fistbump girl's girlfriend saw was a 11 year old girl put a bullet between her eyes

If he would've kept an eye on Meghan like he promised, she would still be alive.
Quote for irony

I still got a bad feeling that the baby is done. Of course I could be wrong, as it's not written in stone yet, but upon 2nd viewing, that was a lot of blood in that car seat. If it's secondary, that person is hemorrhaging critically & is in no shape to carry a baby in a carseat or otherwise. All signs point to the tragic

The long dark jacket was a tip-off; it was the zombie of the Irish woman who tried to lead Rick away to feed to her zombie-husband. The girl with the bum leg was actually eaten--the remaining various parts showed her unusual tattoo; the boyfriend with the bum shoulder was never seen again. See episode synopsis here.

Well... I'm truly shocked Beth survived! Was certain they'd give her comic Lori's death here. That girl just keeps defying the odds.

It seems pretty likely Lizzy is the rat dissector and Karen/David killer and that Carol was covering for her. I have a feeling that going forward Lizzy and Mika will serve as a stand in for Allen's twin boys in the comics.
