Arrow - Season 2

Ollie will become a homeless hippie liberal who travels the country in an old pickup with his best buddy who's a cop.

During the period you're talking about, Hal although technically still a space-cop, made his bread and butter selling children's toys door to door.

It's no wonder he went mad and destroyed the Universe.
Didn't also try his hand at selling insurance? From jet jockey to salesman. Who thought that was a good idea?

I remember Ollie feeling pity almost bordering on contempt for how far his friend had fallen and the denial that allowed him to subsist there... Although I'm also sure that Hal took most of his lonely desperate housewife customers off to the master bedroom for some lengthy exertion, which accounts truthfully that it was the toy between his legs that Jordan was really selling door to door.

(Yes, I'm rolling my eyes too, but I'm also not making this up.)

I watched it last night and really enjoyed it. I think most of the changes are great. The flipping of support for the Hood between Detective Lance and Laurel is interesting.

My only nitpick is the graveyard scene. Who the hell goes to a cemetery dressed like that? Laurel's dress was bright enough to wake the dead. Ollie was there in sensible everyday clothes and Laurel looks like she was getting ready to be a an escort for the evening.

Summer Glau's truly robotic performance aside (honestly I don't know how she keeps getting work, she's an awful actress with a limited range) this was a great opener. I can't believe I'm watching the CW. DC gets the right people to run their shows. Truly excited and interested for this season.

I enjoyed the second season opener quite a bit. Summer Glau was a weak point. I wish they had gone with someone else, and perhaps had Summer come in as a hero or another character. Where is Cassidy Freeman when they needed her?

Anyway, my only other regret is that the Hoods weren't wearing red hoods.

Well, I know that Summer can do more.
So it might be that she got typecast and directed the way she acted in this episode. Based on stuff like Terminator and all...

Second origin story!

One serious character problem, which is that Benson isn't going to rescue Oliver while ditching his wife. If he can't accept that Moira was under duress yet still saved his ass death by accepting his kidnapping, he's not going to be so understanding and committed he'll do favors for the surly and remote stepson he barely ever saw.

Summer Glau doesn't get good roles, so her acting abilities are pretty much unknown. I'd err on the side of generosity myself.

How does Susanna Thompson makes a prison jumpsuit look so good? It's got to be tailored!

(^ LOVED Stingray when I was a kid.)

I thought the opening ep was a cracker. Everything seemed just so much sharper.

My only worry: Summer Glau. Any show she's in doesn't go the distance.

I'm thinking since she is just joining the cast as a guest star... the show is safe.

She appeared once on Big Bang Theory and it has survived.

She was playing herself on BBT and I thought a different actress could have done a better job. ;)

I enjoyed the premier. Can't really think of any specific comments ATM.
