Sutekh really captures that comic book quality. I liked him and those funky mummies.
Watching it as a jaded asshole adult I found myself chuckling at the melodramatic moment, I knew what they were going for but it didn't quite work as intended. I imagine it would've been different had I seen it as a teen in the 80's. I really wish I could've experienced Who as a young'un. I like it now but I don't have the right nostalgia and excitement when Sontarans and Ice Warriors and what not show up in the new series.
I remember seeing Earthshock as a kid and just sitting there in stunned silence, with the powerfully-done closing credits just driving it all the more home for me.
