But Q was at his best in Voyager
Janeway and Q! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8tU3TL9sShs

I liked the original star trek from way back in the day, I enjoyed the older movies, TNG and deep space nine. But Voyager is the first star trek series with so many uninteresting characters.
Neelix
Extremely annoying
Commander Chipotle
Annoying, serves no purpose in the show. Constantly gives janeway bad advice. Native American angle is extremely boring. They should just replace his face with a freshly made chipotle and just play some mexican music in the background, maybe a drum with a buffalo running in the background. That would be far more interesting lol.
Tom Paris
Serves no purpose, annoying. If he wasn't on the show there would be no difference in anything.
Torres
All she does is complain, it's annoying as hell.
Harry Kim
Serves no purpose, annoying, the most boring character in all of star trek.
I think if they removed the above five characters the show would be a lot better.
Janeway, Tuvok, seven and the Doctor are very interesting characters. Kes was becoming interesting as well but then they removed her.
I'm just shocked at how badly they dropped the ball with this series.
Well I gotta ask.. what in the world did you not like about Tuvok?
SW's voice is not nearly annoying enough to be Janeway.I wish Sigourney Weaver was the captain instead of Kate Mulgrew I always wish she played her part.

Besides, if she'd done VOY we wouldn't have had her in Galaxy Quest.

I can't see Janeway pulling this off.![]()
He's not particularly original, though he is refreshing as a Vulcan who is not tormented with angst from being either half human or deeply flawed. He's an older mainstream Vulcan with hobbies (orchid growing), a family back in the Alpha quadrant he misses, a long term friendship in Janeway and some comfort zone challenges in the form of Neelix. He's one of the least dysfunctional Vulcans we see in Trek and a huge asset to the crew.
What did you see that was "bad"?
I wonder if Harry Kim would have been a better character, more effective, if they had made him more of a Miles O'Brien like character and only had him on the show occasional? And not had him as a ineffectual "Main Character?"How can the half-dozen Harry Kim episodes be such a problem? Cutting them out of the show wouldn't make it noticeably leaner or faster paced.
I liked it when Paris' antics got on Tuvok's nerves. They should have done more with that and focused less on the one-sided Paris/Kim friendship.

I think we really see the effects of being trapped indefinitely on a ship of emotionally demonstrative people for Tuvok. It starts to wear him down.
